Technical support / Re: Deleting forum topics
« on: June 07, 2013, 11:40 pm »
Is this possible? I read a mod post that said it isn't possible a while back, but a thread I was responding to just disappeared. verdict?

It is possible, but we do not delete threads as a matter of policy. The thread you were responding to was most likely moved to a different forum as it was in the wrong place.

This connect offers Methylone big crystal (99.2%) for $1600/kg and has great safeorscam.com reviews. I'd give the e-mail first in exchange for 3BTC once the user confirms via Safeorscam.com that this connection is legit.

They also offer 60+ different compounds from Etizolam, Tryptamines and Phenethylamines, NBOMes, AH-7921/MT-45, and many others. Please help a brother out.

Sales are not permitted without a vendor account. This is your first warning for attempting to make sales without a vendor account. If you do so again, your account will be deleted.

Off topic / Re: Whoa, hey, whoa, $500?
« on: June 07, 2013, 10:20 pm »
I understood and expected there to be some sort of vendor fee, but in order to start selling on Silk Road you need to pay $500 (฿4.20)? I'm not complaining or whining, that's not my intent, I'm just kind of taken back here. Black Market Reloaded's fee is $120, and Atlantis' is $35. I also understand this is a high revenue business and that shouldn't be a lot, but everyone's got to start somewhere.

Now I know trying to suggest that the bond be lowered is a nigh futile attempt, so I'll instead ask your opinions on this and possible suggestions if you're starting on a budget. I hope I don't sound too stupid saying any of this, but it kind of shot my enthusiasm down when I saw what I'd have to work just to get back to breaking even. It could be worse, but I mean, damn.

The vendor bond is fully refundable once you meet its terms, making a vendor account on Silk Road essentially free.

Hey guys, I kinda am against the clock right now so ill try to be brief and to the point. Almost a month ago, I purchased 5 OC 40mg Pills from Googleyed's US Domestic Stash.

He started communicating on sunday, saying that he just checked the tracking number, and I will be getting my package early THIS week. Monday, NO, Tuesday, NO, Wednesday, .. You get the point. He agreed that when I receive the package he will give me a 10% refund on the cost, which is very cool of him, and he said if I don't receive it today (friday) he will do a reship.

I rather have the money back, but its the least he can do and Im fine with that, As long as Im not waiting another month :(

My issue right now Is that there is 4 days left until auto finalize. Yesterday I clicked the resolve button in order to extend the Finalize date 10 days. So that resolution is sitting in the resolution center, and my orders page shows it as being in resolution, but there is still a counter saying 4 days left to auto finalize.

I just want to make sure that I did the right thing.. In the box that says "Extend Due Date" i entered 10, and wrote a little paragraph describing the situation.

So now do I just sit back and wait? I just don't want him to get my coins autofinalized if, as I suspect, he never even sent the products. Thanks for reading my situation, and I will check here periodically for responses!

-Lster

Once an order is in the resolution center it will not auto-finalise. Please make sure that your resolution was recorded - if it was, it should appear in a "Proposed resolutions" box above the "Submit new resolution" box.

Rumor mill / Re: what happend to frankmatthews

The vendor in question has had their vending privileges suspended.

If you kept your order in escrow you will be able to request a 100% refund when the 'resolution' option becomes available to you; a refund under these circumstances will not affect your purchasing stats.

I got a PM from another user before I revealed the username:

"was it frank mathews ? because if it was and your order is for #3 heroin it would make sense why he doesnt want to do it in escrow, because the quality is very very bad and he knows you would not pay for it "

It wasn't about heroin for me, but that seems like a plausible explanation. Perhaps he lost his connections to good stuff and tried to pull in as much money as possible before disappearing.

This is why it's so, so important to report things like this so they can be acted on quickly and buyers can be protected. Kudos for letting us know, BeepBeepImAJeep. Regardless of the vendor's circumstances, you've potentially saved a lot of buyers from losing a lot of money.

Newbie discussion / Re: FrankMatthews gone?
« on: June 07, 2013, 05:00 am »
Is there anymore info regarding this?
Is it just a temporary suspension?

If I have an order in escrow and he's communicating with me, should I still go ahead and try to complete the order?
or can he not receive bitcoins even from orders that are already in escrow?

I don't have any more information on it; he broke the contract that he agreed to abide by upon becoming a vendor though, so it doesn't look like it. The Seller's Guide is very clear on the particular rule he has broken:

http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Seller%27s_Guide#Listing

You should absolutely not try to complete any order that he attempts to coerce you into doing. He cannot receive any Bitcoin from any orders as his account has been frozen. Take the issue to resolution when the option becomes available to you and request a 100% refund.

Damn!  Why the hell would Franky just kill off his account like that? :o  Will his account be reinstated or is this permanent?

I have to admit it is very strange that he'd do this, especially because the commission that he'd save on a $1,000 order is hardly anything to write home about. ???

Well who was it?  Please don't make us search the 12 or 13 1%ers to figure out who it was.

I ordered from FrankMatthews and went to go check on his profile and it seems he has disappeared. When I goto my order history and click on his name it no longer goes to his profile page. Anyone know what happened to him?

Security / Re: How safe is storing BTC @ SR long-term?
« on: June 07, 2013, 03:00 am »
All they have to do is to make it illegal for any shop to accept bitcoins and then to go after the bitcoin exchanges.  Its pretty hard to run a bitcoin exchange if its illegal for any banking service to do business with you.

You can have a billion bitcoins but if you cant convert them into anything you can spend and its illegal for any business to accept them directly, they become worthless.

Currency in our neck of the woods doesn't require that it be tangible in terms of USD. That being said, you are being a tad ambiguous in your attempt at applying a very complicated system.

One of bitcoin's best assets is the systems that it royally trumps. There isn't a country in the world that can provide the transactional security at the speed and the efficiency of a bitcoin transaction. Even with some of the most powerful interlinks in the world, the fed can't come close. The network you are on, is largely funded and used by the CIA amongst the rest of us. Don't for a second ever think that the usefulness of a system that allows at least a modicum of anonymity and the ability to securely perform a transaction of value, in LARGE value, is not going to BE valued.

Look, even if we don't look at the clandestine capabilities of a crypto currency, lets examine the modern reality. Legal trades and assets have been transferred and hedged within the bitcoin economy. The bitcoin economy has provided for international trade already, and while we might not have proof of it, I've little doubt that at least one transaction in the entire history has been related to or directly influenced with treasury funds. Large corporate transactions and investment movements have happened over securities regulated bitcoin transactions.

Where are you developing this idea that the US may try to completely erase the value of bitcoin when it's providing no more success to the black market than the US dollar did 10 years ago? I mean, if the US bans it, we just base it on another equally high valued currency. We are already risking ourselves in the things we do, its not like we can't figure out the ways to manage it elsewhere.

And, that's just speculating on the possibility. I really don't think the CIA is going to let something like bitcoin go away. We may have ways for making it hard to track something, but it's also been proven how it could be done with the appropriate intelligence and capable software. You're fooling yourself if the clandestine agencies of the world aren't exploiting that. Not to mention, they don't want people knowing where they spend money, they don't want people knowing about the drug deals they make to fund their operations abroad.

I'm going to finish with the same argument about tor. Tor is a government funded operation. It was made with the knowledge that it would be used for what we do, because what we do improves their anonymity just as much as theirs improves ours. The service may be used by terrorists, but at the same time its also being used to draw them out. The CIA is not going to sacrifice the capability of TOR just because of the inevitable results from the very nature OF the anonymity. Bitcoin, fits as much into that picture, as we do.

Very well put, offbeatadam!
