There shouldn't be much more of a delay than normal, if any.

Hi Libertas.  Ok, so vendors can keep a list of buyers who have been troublesome, essentially a 'blacklist', informal as it might be.  So supposing that you buy from a vendor and find that the quality of the stuff that yoo bought is very poor and was misrepresented in the listing.  After messaging the vendor to discuss this (before leaving a review) you get a hostile and unprofessional response and discover that the vendor is (not to put to fine a point on it) an asshole.  You can't come to an agreement with such a person so you take the loss and leave a 1 point review, summing up your experience with the vendor and the quality of the product.  So the vendor, in retaliation, tries to get you blacklisted in the vendor's 'roundtable'.  How does the roundtable check out the vendor's claim that the buyer is an asshole?  In other words, is there some process by which the roundtable checks out the vendor's claim that the buyer should be blacklisted?  If a vendor can blacklist you in retaliation for leaving a bad review that would totally screw up the whole purpose of leaving reviews.   Buyers would be afraid to leave honest reviews if they risk getting blacklisted.

The Roundtable is just another forum where vendors can converse about things that concern vendors without buyers derailing threads etc. They are entitled to free speech just as you and I are here, and they are permitted to keep a list of "unsatisfacroty buyers" just as folks here keep lists of "unsatisfactory vendors". Nobody approves a thread that a buyer starts stating that they have had a bad experience with a vendor, and the same is true for a situation regarding a bad experience that a vendor has with a buyer.

As I said, it is an informal list and is not sanctioned nor supported by Silk Road. Not every vendor checks the list, and not every vendor that does check the list uses it. It's similar to a "Rumor mill" section, and any buyer is free to start a thread there listing any vendors that are threatening to add them to the informal vendor blacklist them unless they leave good feedback. In fact, such a thread might be a good way to balance such things out.

Hello Libertas and thank you for the response. I am wondering a few things.

My coins were removed from my user account but they are still here in SR tumblr per say?

When do you anticipate the lift on the temporary hold of withdraws?

Are user to user transfers still being completed or are they on hold as well?

Thank you in advance. I like the updates so far. Keep up the hard work.

Withdrawals have been temporarily disabled until we're sure everything is running smoothly with the new upgrades.

We apologize for the delay and greatly appreciate your patience in this matter.

I just want to clarify that the Vendor Blacklist in the Vendor Roundtable is an informal list kept amongst vendors; it has no official standing on the site, nor is it supported by Silk Road.

Vendors are free to keep such informal lists amongst themselves (as buyers are - and do - in the Rumor Mill) as long as they do not reveal a buyer's personal information.

Libertas
ok so we can keep lists? & i can apply for membership too  ;)
thanks

Public and private lists of usernames that you do not wish to deal with can be kept, yes. Public and private lists of personal details cannot be kept under any circumstances. Any vendor that meets the requirements can apply for access to the Vendor Roundtable.

As I have told you repeatedly, joolz, you need to read the information being given to you. I didn't mention your stats at all; I did however mention your history and reputation. Seeing as you're clearly not reading anything that I'm saying - despite my recommendations that you do so - and are obviously completely incapable of employing logic or reason when addressing the situation I will not be attempting to explain it to you again.

I will not be engaging with you further on this matter, but I will be keeping an eye out to make sure you're not spamming the forums with it.

I have customers saying they don't have the ability to finalize.

Also now getting an error.

have you confirmed shipment on the item?

No.  I just started offering the option of Free Shipping if the buyer chooses to FE.  Do I need to confirm shipment before they can finalize?  If I remember correctly buyers would FE on occasion before I had confirmed but I may be mistaken.

Orders cannot be finalized until they have been marked 'in transit'. Technically speaking they should not be marked 'in transit' until they have been sent or until you are leaving to send them out, which is brought up in point 4 of the 'Things to avoid' section of the Seller's Guide:

I want me money back..full stop.

Here's 'the truth' - something you've been told repeatedly but seem incapable of understanding:

What happened to your money is that you lost a resolution case. This result was arrived at presumably after the administrator looked into your history and found that and your reputation to be less satisfactory to a decision in your favour than the other party's history and reputation - that process is outlined in the Wiki that you have been linked to numerous times.

"Withdrawals are not being processed at this time. You may experience longer than usual delays so long as this message is here."

The above message is currently being displayed in the Help Center.
Could someone please elaborate on this?  When I withdrew bitcoin from my account it seemed to have disappeared from my account but is shown in my account history.  Any information regarding this problem would be appreciated.

Thanks,

~Veil

The BTC has been queued to be withdrawn and will leave the site when withdrawals start being processed again. We just want to make sure everything is running smoothly with the new upgrades.

We apologize for the delay and greatly appreciate your patience in this matter.

Bug reports / Re: I lost bitcoins after currency update!
« on: July 02, 2013, 09:57 pm »
Today there were a currency update, afterwards I lost some bitcoins!

Before update I had .01310345 bitcoins. Now I have 0.0131 bitcoins.

My 0.0000345 BC is missing or not printed on the page.

The system has been brought down from 8 decimal places to 4, as noted in DPR's forum post here:
http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=178647.0

0.00009 BTC is $0.008289; the BTC amount that you cannot see is less than $0.01, and you will be able to withdraw the amount that is viewable.
