« on: September 13, 2013, 07:49 am »
bahahah suck shit!

Not only did I successfully scam 1 year as MiMM. I also ran the biggest scam in history.

I hope you all enjoyed the 50% refund. Didn't cost me anything

I look forward to seeing you all soon, although you wont know its me.

Please note the spelling of this member's username: "MarjuanaIsMyMuse", not "MarijuanaIsMyMuse" - it is not the actual account of the now ex-vendor.

I've always wondered.. if a seller gets demoted and they still have orders in transit, what happens when the customers finalize ? Does the seller still get the btc ?

to be honest I have no idea, I have asked for an admin to answer this one.

Yes, if a vendor is demoted and they have orders in transit the funds are released to them if / when the buyers finalize. The logic behind that is that if the vendor has sent the order they deserve to be paid for it, and if they haven't sent the order the buyer will take it to resolution and request a 100% refund.

The vendor in question has been demoted.

Technical support / Re: Withdraws not showing up in the blockchain
« on: September 12, 2013, 01:05 pm »
Same problem for me, since yesterday...

Your issue is with a Mt.Gox withdrawal, not a Silk Road withdrawal.

Mt.Gox seem to be having withdrawal issues at the moment - anybody having issues with their transfers not appearing on the Blockchain after withdrawing from Mt.Gox will have to take it up directly with them.

No, really, I will. Someone help a "Small Timer" into the game.

Im low on cash and cant afford a vendor account. Shrooms are cheap to grow, and I have a bunch on hand right now. When it comes to growing, I can hold my own.

Heres the deal I propose:

I take a pic of 3 oz of dried Psiliocybe Cubensis Mushrooms with your name or any other identifying characteristics. Once you receive that pic you buy a vendor account (with the name I request, not this account). You retain the password to provide a personal escrow. Then I check the site to see that the account does in fact exist. Once Im satisfied that the account is in fact real, I ship a package to you. Ill include a tracking number and stealthy packaging. In effect, you would be my first customer. Once you recieve the package, you would release the password to me, and I would subsequently change that password.

Any takers can email me directly for my PGP key at my anonymous and never clearnet accessed account [REDACTED], I use that account as my relay and will reply via my secure email address.

Consider this your first and only warning; sales are not permitted on the forum, and advertising items for sale on the forums is not permitted without a vendor account. Any further attempts to make sales without a vendor account will result in your account, and any further accounts you set up for that purpose, being deleted.

Technical support / Re: FE as a new vendor
« on: September 10, 2013, 11:03 pm »
Hi, I just started a vendor account. I want to make buyers whit 0 transaction to FE.

Is it okay to do this ?

You read and agreed to the Seller Contract when signing up to become a vendor. The Seller Contract encompasses the Seller's Guide (the rules of which you must abide by), and it seems you have neglected to read through it. I would suggest doing so immediately before attempting to make any sales on Silk Road.

Technical support / Re: 14 hrs after deposit still nothing in SR acct??
« on: September 10, 2013, 01:55 am »
I'm assuming the deposit turned up ok?

nope  :(  it never appeared so im thinking the person probably just didn't send it, since they won't respond to me now either..  puts me out quite a bit of money..  suckss

Didn't we go over this via SR Support and determine that the deposit hasn't arrived because you used a shared send address, and the BTC hadn't been confirmed at one of the input addresses used to send the BTC from, which was causing the issue? It was broadcast onto the network but remains unconfirmed, and will stay unconfirmed until the transfer to the input address that you sent from receives a confirmation.

Libertas

wow i didn't understand any of that from our PMs, you simply told me that "no deposit has been sent to that address since September 7th, and that last deposit was credited to your account (which you can verify in your Account history)".

and the deposit still hasn't cleared  :/  i don't understand blockchain extremely well, but are you telling me that my deposit is still hanging out there in blockland and will appear in my account eventually??  i think i get what you're saying, but if it means that my deposit isn't just gone, i'm happy  : )

Ah! My sincerest apologies, heavyreader. It seems I was mistaking your issue for somebody else's! Indeed, if the deposit doesn't appear when you check the address on blockchain.info then the transfer was never sent. Sorry if I've given you false hope at all.  :-X

Customer support / Re: Can't afford Bond, only selling few items
« on: September 10, 2013, 12:16 am »
Hi all,

I have a limited number of items i want to sell because i am strapped for cash but the whole issue of the bond makes this totally impossible for me because i don't have the cash to put up the bond and even if i did i wouldn't be able to meet the requirements to get the bond back after my limited number of sales (less than $1,500 over 30+ sales).

Is there any way around this?  Isn't there another way that SilkRoad could vet vendors?

I bet there are a lot of honest people out there like me who just want to sell a few items but can't do so because of the bond.

Cheers

The $500 bond (payable in Bitcoin) that you must put down up front is fully refundable once you meet the terms of the bond, and there are no exceptions to paying it. For more information I recommend that you read Seller's Guide and the Wiki.

Silk Road discussion / Re: Down for maintenance?
« on: September 10, 2013, 12:10 am »
I just have to get this off my chest but this SR being down all of the time is just becoming ridiculous. How are we as vendors supposed to get our work down while battling the site to stay up. I just do not understand it, while I appreciate the changes of the feedback system etc, it is more important to me to just get the site to work better rather than updating changes. I feel like the staff should at least conquer the goal of keeping the site up ATLEAST 80% of the time.  I have been a vendor here for 2 years now and I always bite my tongue when it comes to the site being down but I am VERY frustrated this time. GRRR

Hopefully ASAP to them means less then 5 hours.

subs

We have uptime of 98%, which - for one of the most popular .onion sites by traffic volume - is pretty damn good.

Silk Road has been live for approximately 950 days. Counting the 14 day period of 'up and down' downtime that the site was largely inaccessible for as one block of constant downtime, and allowing 5 days for previous maintenance and unscheduled downtime (in reality it has been a much less than that, but we'll use that figure for argument's sake), that brings us to total downtime of 19 days out of 950 days.

19 as a percentage of 950 is 2%.

It's hard to argue that uptime of 98% is 'ridiculous' given the nature of Silk Road, and the scope of our adversaries.

Please note that recent connectivity issues have nothing to do with Silk Road; they are, in fact, issues with the Tor network itself being overloaded.

Customer support / Re: Clarification on Shipping Options
« on: September 09, 2013, 10:08 pm »
i asked one of the vendors and he said he charges so much because he purchased a 5k dollar commercial sealer which i guess is good but idk why you would spend that on a sealer when you arent doing a real lot of big orders if they really did use a commercial sealer. also i think that after 20 orders or so shipping should go back down or whenever they were to pay the piece of equipment off. ive decided to just go through another vendor.

Can you PM me the name of that vendor please?

Newbie discussion / Re: I pay BTC for new accounts.
« on: September 09, 2013, 05:08 am »
Please PM me. This is the real deal, and am looking for people willing to sell/spam to 50 in exchange for BTC.

MODS: I am a vendor but I would rather not reveal who. Proof I can provide details of the first three posts in the round table.

Consider this your first and only warning; sales are not permitted on the forum, and advertising items for sale on the forums is not permitted without a vendor account. These transactions are clearly not going to be made through the Silk Road order system if you don't want to reveal who you are, therefore any further attempts to make sales without a vendor account (i.e. without an account through which these exchanges will occur) will result in your account, and any further accounts you set up for that purpose, being deleted.
