I think it is likely that the forum will become stagnant with users moving elsewhere, hopefully to the new forum I have linked to in my original message, but also to the BMR forums etc. It's important to encourage decentralization so as there is no longer a single point of failure on which the community hinges.

If these forums went down at the same time as the marketplace we would have been scattered to the winds, and the community would likely have dissipated.
