Off Topic / Re: SR 2.0 will be a scam as well
« on: November 02, 2013, 07:14:49 am »
eventhough I don t believe his post I think it is really weird how MDPR and DPR seems to somehow be linked in some ways.

why would dpr create an exclusive discussion section for PBF?

there is absolutely no plausible reason, this is a competitor and the website was utter shit,I mean why bother with PBF.

Also that message from MDPR advising people to go on the new SR.

something not right here?what?you tell me

Please check your facts before spreading incorrect information. There was no "exclusive discussion section for PBF" created; we confined all 'Project: Black Flag' discussion to a single thread because their moderators kept spamming the forum with the URL despite that site's creator stating that such behavior would not occur; it was either confine it all to one thread or remove any mention of it anytime it was posted to stop the spam, which would be censoring a competitor and would not have been in the best interests of legitimate competition in the free market.

Regarding 'Metta Dread Pirate Roberts' parting shot directing his users here, virtually all of the members on that site were also registered on this one making his direction somewhat redundant. From the content and context of his message it would appear that he was attempting to play the "I'm a victim, sorry to rob you guys but look, I still care" card.

I do think silkroad 2.0 is being set up 100% to be a scam. It's being set up by the government to kill moral and discourage others from ever wanting to use the black market for anything ever again.

However, is the FBI in on it? They posted press release detailing arrests. I do believe the whole story is not being shown.

They are going to kill tor and move ship to I2P. They think tor is now unsafe.

Fuck you assholes.

I'm leaking the IP to the FBI. You immoral fuck.

I'm honestly getting worried about his mental health. I'm not even kidding on that one.

Threatening to leak an IP address to the FBI, whom he claims are actually behind SR 2.0 and would therefore already have the IP address given that they would have set it up - I think the final finger that he had clinging on to reality has slipped.

Off Topic / Re: What happened to freedom of speech on the forums? :(
« on: November 02, 2013, 03:31:06 am »
I disagree with you deleting the posts that advocate child porn. If you have good arguments against child porn you should always be able to shut down the people who advocate for it. When you censor people you are implying that their ideas are valid, as you need to resort to censoring their ideas instead of having a solid argument against them. On the original SR forum DPR let people argue for child porn even when half of the forum asked him to stop them. I don't think the new forums should be more restrictive. The original SR forums banned linking to CP sites and they banned graphic text representations of child porn, but they explicitly allowed for people to advocate for child porn.

The rules regarding child pornography are the same here as they were on the old forums; any who are interested in having that kind of discussion are most likely fully aware of what those rules entail.

In line with the freedom of speech that we wish to protect, mature and level discussion of child pornography will not be halted on the forums from here on out. Any child pornography links or stories etc. will result in the offending posts being removed and the author of the posts having their account deleted.

I will not be engaging in any discussion as to the pros and cons of allowing such discussion; the right to the discussion itself is guaranteed under the freedom of speech rules. If any mature discussion on a topic is halted or deleted and you feel that it does not contravene the rules please PM me and I will look into the issue.

I'm going to go ahead and call this out as more trolling from our resident pain in the ass ex-vendor turned scammer 'coachella420' / 'InfiniteSource' / 'Hallucinating Horse' / whatever other names he has been using. Not much effort put into this particular incidence of trolling - it's somewhat disappointing.

Libertas

Libertas. Did you never read that Reddit post? You know I would try harder than this. Give me some freaking credit.

These are wild accusations. At least I showed evidence.

Ah, so you've just admitted that the account 'brownbeatdown1' is indeed 'coachella420', and as shown you registered this account 13 minutes prior to registering 'iknoweverything'. Gotcha.

I won't be responding to any further posts from your current shill account so do consider this is our terribly tearful goodbye.

Guys, I have done some research and I want to share with you what I found.

Here is what you need to know:

1) SR was not shut down by LE - it was a scam. A cover up, psych ops, inside job - whatever you want to cal it... yuo can even call it another 9/11 since it seems equally fucking insane and impossible as steel towers turning into a dust from a fire.
The old SR admins are just pretending being shut down by the three letter agencies, to have a cover for stealing the money. This way nobody is going after them and, even worse, everybody feels sorry for them.

2) Because there is a market demand, SR 2.0 is on the way - it's comming... and it is going to be launched by the very same people who scammed us with SR 1.0. I am telling you: do not trust them - they will scam you again!

3) MDPR is with them - they have made the decision together to shut down PBF, so SR 2.0 could be looking more legit now...
Note that this asshole even referred you directly to SR 2.0 in his "I fucked you all" goodbye speech.

The servers will shortly be turned off.  Please make migrate to the new Silk Road forums.  http://silkroad5v7dywlc.onion

Are you really so stupid to follow his advise?

The summary:
Be careful!
I strongly advise you to stop using these scammers' black markets. They only create them to steal money from your wallets and the escrows.
There is no whatever freedom idea behind their actions - they are just full of shit, playing with your feelings, exactly as MDPR did.
So be smarter - establish contacts with your vendors and try trade with them directly, not through these shitty scamming pages.

And you, the greedy SR team assholes: fuck you all!
this was taken from the Project Black Flag forums you have all been dupped and conned ross ulbricht was a patsy a fall guy a sheep a poor small time buyer framed by these scummy admins you have all been warned and you have all been entrusted with the key to our future

I'm going to go ahead and call this out as more trolling from our resident pain in the ass ex-vendor turned scammer 'coachella420' / 'InfiniteSource' / 'Hallucinating Horse' / whatever other names he has been using. You're not even putting in the effort anymore, coachella. This account was registered 13 minutes before you registered 'iknoweverything'. I can't fathom the level of crazy that you operate on but if it works for you "keep on truckin'".

Bug Reports / Re: PGP keys copy paste indentations
« on: October 31, 2013, 07:44:36 am »
When I copy paste PGP keys from members Summary pages to terminal or a text file I get these indentaions of 4 spaces in every line.
I don't know if it's a bug or I'm doing it wrong, but i thought i would mention it.
It dosen't happen everytime though.
I'm using Tails btw.

Happens to me sometimes, this is how I solve it:

When you highlight the key, like coming from bottom to top... if you over-highlight and copy, yet maybe not even highlight the persons UN or look like you went too far, you pick up that hidden indent.  So when you paste the key, it will all be 4 spaces over, which pgp programs will error on.

But if you stop very carefully at that last dash (fist dash in this example), you won't pick up that indent.  Then the pgp program won't have an issue seeing this as a key.

Highlight carefully... do not over highlight.

^This!

Silk Road Discussion / Re: A HOWTO Section?
« on: October 31, 2013, 06:12:50 am »
As Sarge has stated it has been discussed by staff previously. What might be an idea is to create the 'How to' guide in the relevant sub-forum (PGP guides in 'Security' etc.), then post the link to that thread here. It would serve the dual purposes of aggregating links to all guides within one thread, and also speed up the collection of those guides for Wiki / dedicated sub-forum purposes if / when that is in the works.

In honor of one of our fearless leaders and famous words in Scarface.......

"Libertas" "Libertas" "Libertas""Libertas""Libertas""Libertas""Libertas""Libertas""Libertas""Libertas"

Watch out.... Karmas a bitch

I appreciate the sentiment,jakeyblues1987, and the message being sent out to 'Metta Dread Pirate Roberts'; that scene from Scarface is very fitting - the actions that he has taken will come back to haunt him in the months or years to come. I believe in Scarface they were shouting "Libertad!" though which is Spanish for "Liberty", but we'll call it artistic license! ;)

...I was actually wondering if it was Libertas or somebody else who said "treat everyone like they are LE".

Yeah, that'd be me, I've always advised users to treat everbody else as if they're LE and to treat every marketplace and forum as though it's compromised from the very beginning; it's the best mindset you could possibly have for operational security, and that goes double for vendors - act as though every package you send out is being sent to LE and profiled etc. and you'll be sure to act with solid OPSEC in mind at all times. I advised users to do that on the previous Silk Road, and will continue to do so here.

You never know what's around the next corner - plan for every eventuality so as whatever that 'something' is won't have the chance to get the better of you.

I had to post a response to this scumbaggery on their forum so as not to foul our forums with the 'Project: Black Flag' stench. Disgusting behavior on their part.

Silk Road Discussion / Re: Accessing The Vendor Round Table - Updated
« on: October 26, 2013, 10:31:53 pm »
What about those of us who wiped everything and are starting fresh?

If you're starting fresh you will need to pay for a new vendor account when the marketplace is up and running, as mentioned in my previous post.
