Feature Requests / Re: Sub Categories?
« on: November 12, 2013, 11:05:30 am »
Will there be Sub Categories created? For instance for substances such as synthetic cannabis like i sell, there used to be a sub category when you click cannabis called "synthetic" and a sub category off that called "Pure Chemicals" or "Smoking Blend. It would help alot if this was implented again like on the old sr for most of the categories as there is so many different substances that fit into different categories, like opiates for example, old sr categories included opium, heroin, poppies, etc. I just thought it would be much easier to find what your looking for, thanks
~JescoWhite~

Hi JescoWhite,

There certainly will, and it will be set up exactly the way it was on the previous site. It will then be up to vendors to move their listings to the appropriate categories.

Bug Reports / Re: Can't access the site and forums with TBB
« on: November 11, 2013, 05:35:03 am »
ok so apparently the problem was that my clock is one hour after the Tor clock. I changed it and now the bug is fixed.
idk why this problem occured only with SR and these forums while in other places on the darknet worked fine... maybe a mod should check this out.
yalla bye madafaka and heil Bibi!!

Tor needs an accurate system clock to function correctly, and that is especially important for hidden services. It's not a bug, it's a constraint of the Tor network.

Thread locked as resolved in any event.

"Ohlord" has been outed as 'coachella420' and has been removed.

He obtained an invite key from DPR's release of keys so it seems he sits there and refreshes the page constantly just to get invite keys so he can troll some more. Very odd behavior, but such is life.

To those of you having issues with vendor verification, please see the following posts:

http://silkroad5v7dywlc.onion/index.php?topic=271.msg3002#msg3002
http://silkroad5v7dywlc.onion/index.php?topic=271.msg10334#msg10334
http://silkroad5v7dywlc.onion/index.php?topic=271.msg16571#msg16571

Those links are also Stickied in threads in Silk Road discussion and the Vendor Roundtable on the old forum; there is no reason that former vendors would not be able to find them.

Hi, i normally just lurk on here but i was reading a thread cheekily titled "Open Letter To DPR's Open Letter To Sen. Carpers Open Letter"

http://silkroad5v7dywlc.onion/index.php?topic=2533.0

Which references another similar thread "Man, whoever runs this place is a attention seeking whore"

http://silkroad5v7dywlc.onion/index.php?topic=2496

And one that calls DPR a "verbose, pompous, vain, self-aggrandizing, arrogant little prick with a false sense of entitlement", which oddly enough didnt result in the OP being banned.

http://silkroad5v7dywlc.onion/index.php?topic=2492.0

I didnt think there was anything that broke the rules in those threads other than maybe making DPR look a bit immature, but then banning someone for that makes DPR look even more immature so i dont know what the end result of that was meant to be. If speaking critically about DPR and SR results in banning then ill probably be better off lurking on another darkmarket forum where members are allowed to speak openly about problems surrounding it. No use being left in the dark! What do you all think, is this the behavior of an honest administration?

What you noticed was not "DPR&Crew just banned 2 members for speaking critically of DPR's PR"; what you noticed was, in fact, 2 members being banned for actually being coachella420. That person is a repeat scammer that has earned himself a lifetime ban from Silk Road for scamming users under numerous vendor accounts, calling the police on one of his buyers, attempting to 'doxx' Silk Road community members and administrators and releasing personal information on the forums of people he proclaims to be said members but whom are, in actual fact, entirely unrelated.

All of those actions result in an account being removed, so committing all of them together can result in nothing other than a lifetime ban which is pursued aggressively by staff in order to protect this community.

Silk Road Discussion / Re: Where are the subcategories?
« on: November 06, 2013, 07:21:06 pm »
This is actually a pretty good question. I can browse psychedelics but can't check out the LSD or DMT individually. I imagine this will come later--when?

As I was the one that organised the categories on the previous site, I will be providing the notes for those categories to DPR once I'm able to arrange them properly and the categories will be sorted out then. There are going to be changes during the initial phase; Rome wasn't built in a day, as they say.

Silk Road Discussion / Re: Old Silk Road form

Other admins have access to the DPR forum account and that's the reason it has been active.

I won't be commenting further on that, just as a note to any of you who may be considering discussing it.

Hmmm, the feds shouldn't be able to access the account to log in as the password was changed after the account wasn't logged into for a number of days.

Was this an automatic password change or did someone else have that kind of access to the forums? I would have assumed that the forums were configured such that even other administrators couldn't make changes to DPRs account...

So I was on the old SR forums and looked at the old DPR's profile, check it out:

http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?action=profile;u=1

He was last logged on 'November 04, 2013, 07:19 pm'

I assume it's the feds, but thought it was worth mentioning

Hmmm, the feds shouldn't be able to access the account to log in as the password was changed after the account wasn't logged into for a number of days. It was most likely accessed by another admin. I'll look into it, but for the time being I'd strongly recommend that people stay away from the old forum.

Isn't that the same guy who sold out MDPR to the cartel's he ripped off?

Yeah "iknoweverything" claimed he had all the info, he said he found a cron scrypt and supposedly that was supposed to mean he knows everything?

I on the other hand said weeks before that I was going to be pentesting the site, I have all of mDPR's (I think, could be Keyboard DPK or one of the other guys) info. Pablo promised 50btc for the info, but he never paid up, so I'm still sitting on it.

I'm all for screwing a scammer, but I have to make money too, we all know how it is.
I saw how pathetic the site was so I never even used it, I haven't lost anything.

If anyone wants that info make me an offer, I always run a 50/50 escrow system, meaning you pay me half now, half after I give you the info. Pablo insisted he was going to come through, but he's since stopped communicating.
