Two instances of Tor.

Tor one is hidden service, Tor two is normal client. Tor one Torrc uses Tor one as socks proxy. Now circuits look like this:

Hidden Service <-> T2 entry <-> T2 middle <-> T2 exit <-> T1 entry <-> T1 middle <-> T1 final <-> Clients final <-> etc

now when client adds some nodes to Tor and forces the hidden service to open an arbitrary number of circuits, they will trace to T1 entry in a matter of seconds very easily. If they do active DOS attacks against the set of nodes that make up the possible selections for T1 entry they may be able to own T1 entry. Of course the feds can simply subpoena one of the nodes that is T1 entry and get the information for the node behind it, which if you use a normal hidden service configuration will be the hidden server itself. But now they merely obtain T2 exit, and furthermore they can not continue to do the force the hidden service to open a billion circuits to traceback attack because T2 is a normal Tor client circuit. Configure T1 and T2 Torrc appropriately to make sure there is not node reuse (or family reuse?) between the instances of Tor.

Latency is doubled, but it should probably prevent the feds from being able to trace hidden services. Right now they either can, or the only thing stopping them is their own stupidity. Will add donation link to my signature sometime .

Alice and Bob both have a copy of a database that holds the following items:

10101 - 0
11100 - 1
00010 - 2
01101 - 3

Carol wants to obtain item number three without Bob or Alice learning which of the items she is interested in. First she generates a random bit string equal in length to the number of items in the database.

0010

next she generates a bit string that xors to 0 with the first at every position except the database item she wants

0011

she sends one of these strings to Alice and the other to Bob. They xor messages from the database together if their position is marked by 1 in the string the receive from Carol. Alice gets 0010 so she simply replies with the message at position 2: 00010, bob receives 0011 so he replies with the xor of message 2 and 3:

00010  xor 01101 = 01111

Alice and Bob send their replies to Carol who xor them together

01111 xor 00010 = 01101, which is item at position three in the database

neither Alice nor Bob can determine which of the items was requested. I think this is pretty neat, especially for databases with hundreds of thousands of entries mirrored over a dozen different non-cooperating servers .

One flaw I identify in your thinking is that you think LE can do more against SR than they already have done, and are not doing more against it out of the kindness of their hearts

to add to the confusion, the tor devs would never have considered Tor to be an onion router at any point in its existence

Also: The technology exists to scan ALL FUCKING PACKAGES WITH NO FUCKING DELAY, now. It's very new and, with your retarded ideas, now very possible that they'll try to get it instated.. Just imagine a glorious, pristine world in which your dumbass is used as an example of why all mail should be searchable without a warrant, so they actually implement that technology.

They actually plan to implement that technology at all access points into the USA within the next two years, maybe now they will do it in one year because of my posts lolol
