Post by: UK Stealth on April 04, 2013, 06:55 pm
is it me or any others, i have adjusted my prices accordingly with the massive hike in BTC value, but no ones buying? everyone hanging onto them in case it rises further?.  curious on anyone's thoughts.

The same here.
I am just an ant here, but when I observe another vendors, I see the same pattern. The answer is in the BTC, but where exactly?

As a buyer with a huge purchase history , I have to admit I am holding out big time.  Suffering too.
I got the coins waiting.  . . It's the fucking recent drop in price.  I lost quite a bit of value in the past day.  I'm sure it will go back up to $140. Soon

Sorry guys,  it sucks  , but I bought my last coins at $141.44. As if.  I got ripped and lost $40. So far on my last coin but.

On a good note,  we can't wait that much longer. :-).  Gotta have drugs sooner or later.

apparently this phenomenon is called hyperdeflation.  It's where a currency is appreciating so fast that people stop spending because they believe if they hold onto it a little longer it will give them a better return.  There's been discussions about it out on various news sites over the last few days.  There's also that 420 thingy coming up and I've seen a few posts where people are hanging back waiting for it.

The good news is that most people here like Jediknight will spend eventually ;)

and now I'm over my 50 posts I really should go find something else to do rather than hang around here..

I would like to see some sort of graph that looks at the price of BTC along with the # of sales on SR over a period of time.

As an economist, I think it would be interesting as there have not been too many documented cases which study hyperdeflation.

Anyway to get access to this sort of data?

Easter long weekend may have something to do with it, as a buyer I deposit as I buy, with the banks closed for four days I couldn't deposit.

Well , kooky at that.  The price is back up and suprise,  I'm in the mood for shopping again!

It's awkward using this currency.   It puts me between saving upgrade coins for my future , and spending them on drugs !   It's like an in-your-face slap.  Haha

Lt the shopping begin.

^This. I've had a few messages from buyers over the last week saying that they're waiting for their coins to go up in value more before they buy  ::)

Personally I think we're long overdue for a correction back to the $50-70 range.

That's how I feel about it.  I can start saving money in BTC and make a lot of money.  Or I can invest in drugs, re-sell them, and make even more money.  I feel like if I have BTC lying around then I'm going to end up spending them on drugs at some point anyway.  I need to just set a rule for myself or something...

lol saving in a speculative currency you really have no idea. but i guess if you are the type of person that needs to buy and sell drugs then you'll try anything for a quick buck, even fuck your own grandmother

He Shoots! HE SCORREEEEESSS!

The feeling of victory being slightly dampened by having lost a grand on the few BTC I hadn't cashed out yet  :P
