Title: How do I accept Bitcoins through a cardreader?
Post by: UncleBuckRIU on February 25, 2013, 06:32 pm
I have head that you can accept Bitcoins through a smart phone by getting a card reader.

1) How can I get a free card reader?
2) How do I use it to accept Bitcoins?
3) How do I use it to turn cash into Bitcoins?

You are thinking about PayPal.  They have a card reader attachment for the iphone to take paypal payments on the spot.

as for bitcoins, there is no need for a card reader since there is no bitcoin card!
Maybe a debit machine to get cash first, then buy some coins through an exchange then here.

You are confused, there will never be a bit coin card.  Its all electronic.

Hope this helps.

No, I am thinking of the card reader. It's how people in the UK get bitcoins because they don't have many locations that do it. I am wondering how it works, not asking people to talk to me like I'm stupid.
