Lots of different rumors, does anyone actually know where it all began, some people say UK and some say US?

The GQ article mentioned that DPR's English matches the American dialect. Of course this doesn't mean much because there are Americans all over the globe.
I kinda agree with other people, we can be curious but some questions are better off unanswered.

That sentence doesn't make much sense. But I think I know what you mean. You seemed to miss out the part about the CERTAIN person, also.

America will find a way to make Silk Road its enemy and liberate the darknet of this horrible threat to American's peace and security. You could argue that SR is a terrorist tool against the US economy, security and its people. It exploits the mail system and wether its drugs or anthrax, Silk Road is showing the world how volnerable we all are to someone sending something nasty in the mail anonymously and getting away with it. Al Queda showed the volnerabilities of the airlines and exploited it against us. Now the postal system is next..
Al Queda runs the site is the next headline I'm expecting to see in the news. Then the war will begin against SR as its now terrorism and a reason to stop it. Mark my words. Silk Road will become America's next bad guy.. . to be liberated.. like Iraq. as if. its sickening.
I'm just waiting for America to take credit for the Silk Road so it can give it face and make it its enemy. DPR is the new Bin Laden? It could be painted that way to drum up support to go to war with Silk Road.. . . to free up money to take on this new bad man... America is broke and can't afford to go to war. . .. . thank god. Long live SR.

To be honest I don't think the general public care enough to have a justifiable all out war against silk road so the terrorism plot is most likely the only way they could wage a war against sr.
I have noticed over the past year or two that people just don't really care about drugs and the people using them as much as they used to, at first I thought it was just weed but it seems as if the whole world is finally waking up to the bullshit and the internet has helped massively in educating the mass's on the truth about this so called war on drugs.
Think about it if there was no war on drugs there would be more or less nothing to do for any one in LE (crazy I know) and thats not even me being dramatic that's the truth.
War needs to come to an end some time soon, cannabis legalization in Colorado and Washington is a step in the right direction, people just need to keep on uniting and one day defiantly in our life time we will look back at this pathetic war on drugs and think 'what the fuck was all that about' until then we just keep fighting keep educating those who will listen because we will win its not a question of oh it will take years and years anymore its case of its coming and its coming quicker than you think it will happen soon we just need to stay strong till the bitter end.

It was started in the USA. The CIA started it. Remember how they flooded the US with south-american coke to fund black ops, and get youth off LSD in the late 60s ? A few years ago, they needed to get people to stop getting their drugs from the streets, most of which were now originating from and funding countries and organizations belonging to the "axis of evil", hence they created Silkroad. They gave everything to a random anon from 4chan and, as usual with most CIA operation, they fucked up and everything slipped out of their hands. They destroyed every document about it but, eventually, the one forgotten memo will turn up in a FOIA request.
But you'll have heard it here first.
