Does anybody know? nobody seems connected and I cant get into my account
-
Yeah, it has been disconnect for over 8 hours now, but they say they're working on it.
-
I was able to log in fine just there.
-
After about 9 hours of downtime, it's back up. Coins are all still there, everything functioning as usual.
-
Y'all are quick! I shouldn't even spend time scratching my head to figure out a problem. Just log onto the forum & see what's going on. I noticed it was down and spent about 10 mins worrying about it then i found this thread. You said it was up & you were right.

blockchain.info lets you backup your wallet very easily. Now would be a good time to do that.

I backed up my wallet onto a stick and deleted Bitcoin from my systems when I formatted my computers and installed a new OS. ;)
When it was plugged into my laptop after the install to setup certain programs, the stick was hanging out over the over the edge of the table, I stood up to answer the door quickly and snapped it when my leg brushed against it. :-[
I had been saving BTC's since they were $4 instead of putting money into shares, and they were legitimately earned not from here or hacking shit, I'm embarrassed to disclose the sum I had saved but suffice to say it was substantial. :'(
This happened just before Christmas last year, I was thinking "hey Santa Claus you cunt, where's me fuckin' coins?" >:(
The lesson I learned from this is to store all my information of questionable legitimacy on more than one mini-SD card and then store those somewhere safely away until needed. Unless the AU weed vendors come back to reality will be some time for me unless they start going down in value. Everything on SR I no longer use in my older age is cheap as shit and weed cost a fortune and there's no one left but halfbaked who's charging $350 an ounce :-[ which although I can afford, I simply won't pay. ???
Lesson learned albeit an expensive one, don't forget to keep multiple backups on as small and secure device as possible and encrypt EVERYTHING! ::)

JEZUZ,
I hope you tried to fix that usb stick. Its not that hard. The flash memory chips are still intact on it. You could re-solder the chipboard together among other options. If the bitcoins on it were substantial, I would try to bring it to a electronics shop and pay them to salvage the memory chip on the broken usb stick.
I say this because it happened to me and I was able to re=solder the stick back together for a short time to get the files off it. It was taped together and solder globs hanging off it lol...
take care.

Brainwallet, my friend, brainwallet. It doesn't have to be saved anywhere but in your head.
