Please read:    It is so hard to stop my blood from boiling every time I see one of these anti-bitcoin journalists writing such utter bullshit, thumping their chest in a triumphant "told-you-so" every single time the exchange rate drops. YES bitcoin is volatile. YES bitcoin will have countless ups and downs in the coming years. YES you may have said bitcoin was destined to fail when you first heard about it, but NO you are not witnessing the bitcoin monetary system fail. What you are witnessing is the herd mentality of human beings, or better yet evidence of the fact that market prices of any kind (including stocks, commodities, etc) are more directly affected by mood and emotion than any other factor. The same fundamentals that made bitcoin such a genius idea from the beginning still apply today. The only thing that's changed from a few days ago is that the biggest bitcoin exchange in the world is under attack by a desperate and nervous government. If anyone thought that bitcoin could take the world by storm without the powers-that-be putting up a hell of a fight, then you don't understand the potential of bitcoin. We aim to take back control of the world economy from evil, greedy, power-hungry scum and give it back to the people. The central bankers and those they work for use their control of the money supply to wield complete control over the entire human race, and modern society as a whole. The economy is the underlying basis for everything. They control all power by stunting it's growth and directing wealth where they see fit. They are not going to just let go of that power without fighting tooth and nail, using every resource at their disposal to crush any threat that comes along. The beautiful thing about bitcoin is that it can't easily be stopped. It represents the greatest tool/weapon we the people have EVER had to turn the tides of freedom in our favor. Thanks to the concept of decentralized currency like bitcoin, we now have the opportunity to destroy the old ways of tyranny, oppression, and slavery; and rebuild a new world of free markets, a free economy, a world where there are no chains to stop modern civilization from growing as fast as our creativity can take us. A world where enough wealth can be created with ease to make poverty a thing of history books, where people can work less, earn more, and use their free time to explore the wonders of the universe and all that life has to offer. The only thing standing between us and that wonderful future are the current powers that run the show today, those same powers who are scared shit-less trying to destroy our faith and belief in bitcoin by making up ridiculous rules that become "law of the land" as if their rules hold the same weight as laws of physics. You may not hold the same hope for the future that I do, you may think I'm a dreamer, an idealist, and who knows, maybe you're right. But what I can promise you, is that bitcoin will not be defeated because the Chinese government passes a few laws. You really think bitcoin can't survive without our precious, obedient, government-suck-up exchanges?!?! They can pass any laws they want. They will only succeed in forcing us underground (where its better, easier, and safer to be anyway). How many of you actually use Mt. Gox still?? Did their US regulations stop bitcoin from spreading here? Fuck no. The Chinese will soon have their own "localbitcoins.com" types of websites, and their own local meet-ups, and whatever else the infinitely creative human ingenuity will come up with next to get around the regulations. Just because they dealt a blow to us, doesn't mean in the least bit we are down for the count. Bitcoin can survive this without breaking a sweat, and we will eventually be tested by, and survive, much worse. Let our enemies bring whatever they have. If your smart, you'll use the ups and downs to your advantage to make a killer profit. If you take away anything from this out-pouring of my heart, let it be this: Don't blindly accept their propaganda as truth. The more we grow, the more we spread across the globe, the more resistance we will meet from those in control and those they've brainwashed. Propaganda is an art form they have mastered since the beginning of civilization. It takes a truly free and strong minded person to think objectively, and form their own opinion based on the facts.
