Title: Going to war against the spammers
Post by: mwarf on October 10, 2012, 06:33 am
Like the majority here I feel that this issue with the constant spam filling these boards is getting very old, if they were offering a legitimate service it may be different, but not only are they spamming the boards, but doing it with scams. In the past mods would take their time to clean up the posts by deleting all this spam, but that takes effort and there are generally more posts are up within the next 30 minutes. Captchas would slow the problem, but it would just force the spammers to work a little harder to put their scams out there. I suggest bringing it back to their door, crashing their websites for example. Ill be honest, Im not very savvy when it comes to computers, but I know there are others lurking here that are. Id be willing to throw some BTC at individuals or groups that want to spend some of their time fucking with these people. Im way far gone tonight, so this sounds like a good idea right now and spending some time reading the forums is a good way to come down imo. However, when there is 16 pages of unread posts to go through since I logged in a few hours ago and 14 of those pages are spam something needs to be done.  >:(

if the staff here would just add a captcha for registration and to post for everyone who has less than 400 posts the spam would stop almost immediately.

Easy, download http://sourceforge.net/projects/loic/
For Mac download here: http://www.mediafire.com/?v71xomi7aogto92

Install program, insert website URL > http://www.btkoin.com/

Charge your lazersss. It will flood their server with many many requests making the site unavailable.

Bump for you, just cause I was pissed off about this enough to want to start my own thread also. This is so obnoxious. And I don't think spamming the board is going to get them *any* business. Shitheads.

And if for some reason you live in the USA and get caught, you can expect many, many, many months of extreme sadness.

you sly devil kmf

wait, you mean they could add that functionality??? hasn't anyone told them....wait a minute, I think I remember messaging indica|sativa and DPR about this and making a post (with pictures of how to turn this on for the forum) they must have some sort of reason to not turn it on then right? 2 clicks, and type a number (you say 400, I think 50 would catch it)

They could do it for users with less then 100 ...or even 50 posts.

Shit would stop real quick.

but really, has anyone messaged DPS and Indica|Sativa asking for this to be implemented other than me? If not, what's stopping you. this spam is hard to sift through, and anything that can slow it down (or stop it) should be implemented quickly. the forums we read are full of spam, so maybe it's time the admin's PM boxes were filled to the brim with requests to stop it!

Yah, just watched a documentary about some poor dude that LOIC'd PayPal or The Church of Scientology cant remember which one, but ended up doing about a years worth of time on top of other legal issues...was pretty fucked up. Really good movie too, I recommend watching it if youre curious about Anonymous, its called We Are Legion.

Im sure they know about the issue, my guess would be there is more important things going on that is taking up there time than some spammer fuck. Really its just annoying, I'm hoping the collective IQ around here is smart enough not to fall for their scam, but since they continue to post I guess some suckers are falling for it... :-\

Try this: http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=52374.0

For starters, go into BTkoin and pretend to make a purchase. Use paypal as your checkout then go until they give you the paypal account of this scammer. Report that account to paypal. (or hack it, what do I care?)

Next, go to https://www.enzu.com/ and at the lower-right, use the "leave a message" to report btkoin as a scammer and for violation of the terms of service/AUP

Thirdly, go to http://www.melbourneit.com and report the btkoin.com domain as being used for fraudulent/illegal activities.

And whenever this shit starts up again, check for the new site on http://www.scamadviser.com to get the new details and report the site to the new hosting provider. I've already done my part, guys. You want the forums to not be filled with this shit? Do your part.

Heh. Ironically that'd just promote spam, but not from the scammer. Just people who want to hit 400 posts to avoid Captcha.

Yeah if you DDoS PayPal or Mastercard that isn't very smart :P Do you think the American government, or any for that matter, give a flying crap about a fraudulent BTC-vending website?

people talking more doesn't really = spam, and yes the captcha would frustrate some good people, but it would take a substantial load off of the "spam busters"
