Title: Ok I've had it, why is there no captcha?

I'm no computer expert but wouldn't a simple captcha to accessing the forums kill this annoying spammer? Hes really fucking testing my patience today with his latest attack!

there is a "captcha to post" <# posts options, but indica|sativa has not activated it yet. I (and I am sure others) have messaged him requesting it be activated to slow the spammers down

I hope that they can go ahead and activate it.

Is there a potential security risk involved in using the captcha?  I can't imagine there would be since we use one to log into the main site.

There isn't, its sort of a staple thing on most sites these days. I know nothing of coding a website so there is probably a reason DPR never put one in or is taking this long to do it.

I asked dpr 6 WEEKS AGO ABOUT ADDING A FRONT LOGIN TO THE FORUMS FOR A COUPLE REASONS, HIS RESPONSE WAS I SEE NO PROBLEM WITH THAT  AND i CAN ONLY ASSUME HE HASNT CAUGHT UP TO 6 WEEKS AGO ON HIS TO DO LIST.

Good to hear it's in the pipeline, thanks for sharing Nomad, hopefully it'll be activated sooner rather than later, and this scamming spammer will be done and dusted once and for all :)
