Hello!

Here's a quick report on Indica9's current offering. I might have time to write up a proper trip report a bit later...sorry if I don't.

I was in two minds as to whether to try this  or the small sample of the new Mayan Calendars that I'd ordered from JoR, because I've been very keen to find out if the new MCs are anywhere close to earlier batches of the same print. But...at least one person had messaged me asking for an opinion about Indica9's, which I had mentioned I'd ordered, so I went for that in the end.

I don't feel that qualified to make a call about the purity at the moment because it ended up being a heavier dose than I've had in years, plus the conditions of the trip were so nice that I would probably have had a great time on 700 mic of shitty amber. But if I had to call it then I would say that I think these are exactly as advertised, 300+ mics per hit of Swiss needlepoint, very close in feel to the Mayan family output of recent year, in fact. Maybe not identical but it's hard to say given the other variables.

I took 2 and it blew me away - definitely the strongest blotters I've consumed in many many years - but the vibe was always very pure, gentle and loving. Of course as I say - the conditions were beautiful - it was a gorgeous sunny day and my wife and I decided to take a chance on doing something we've never really tried before and just make it into an ordinary family day at the park with our two small daughters, except for the fact that I was tripping on about 700 mics . Well it turned out beautifully and all the kids knew what that Daddy seemed to be particularly chilled out and happy today, and for me it was a very blessed thing to have them there.  I even ended up flying a kite at the peak of the trip. Oh yeah...it IS just how you imagine it might be. The image of the kite / me flying high in the clouds was imprinted on my inner vision as I finally drifted off to sleep much later that night.

Anyway this is getting longer than advertised. Kudos to you and to that old chemist, Indica9 - when I get a minutes I will write a slightly longer report which might be only for you and for him, cos I wanna say thanks.

Indica9 graciously sent me a very generous sample of his opium, in the hopes that I would write a review. He was extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful throughout the product, never expecting in my wildest dreams that he would send so much on a sample. Thank you Indica9. Feedback on his page is generally fairly coarse for the Opium section, however I saw nothing which warranted the harsh words.

My experience with Indica9's opium is as follows:

The package arrived, however I was required to go to the post office and sign for it. It was fairly discreet, but greater attempts to hide the product would be desired.

The opium is pitch black, even darker than the Afghan, and I immediately recognized the characteristic coloration of Indian opium. The product is pliable and slightly moist, however when I opened the sealed plastic I found the product drier than initially expected. While all the spanish or local opium I have encountered has had an extremely pungent aroma, Indica9's opium has an extremely subdued, almost sweet aroma.

The product was packaged flat into a heat sealed bag, giving me the notion that it would be sticky and difficult to deal with. Much to my surprise, by cutting it into strips I could easily roll pieces of the flat mass into workable balls without making a mess or losing product.

Utilizing the proven hot knife method, I smoke .1 as a testing dose. It burned well, melting easily. The ball, which was perched on a knife face, seared on the top and melted down into a wide circle.

The smoke had a very mild, almost nonexistent taste compared to the full, bitter flavor of NumberFive or Drugstore's Spanish. The smoke was smooth, making the inhalation an easy and altogether enjoyable task.

The .1 produced little effect beyond a distant feeling and, knowing what to expect, I gathered .27 immediately and prepared it for smoking. It was following this second round of consumption that I achieved an extremely euphoric, clear headed, and physically comfortable (in the sense of not being nauseating, overly dopey, or effecting motor skills) high. I might add that this Indica9's opium has a considerably greater duration than any other opium I have had on the silk road, sustaining one in its soft, slowly loosening coils for several hours after the Spanish would have snuck out the backdoor of an otherwise preoccupied consciousness. However, this may be related to the quantity which is required to be smoked: double that of a Spanish. Compared to every other Indian opium that I have seen (Charasbros and Pill Popperz) this opium is significantly stronger, producing a meaningful effect with an amount which would be fruitless with the others.

As it stands I can place it in a hierarchy according to a combination of aesthetics, flavor, smokability, effect, and duration:

drugstore's opium- Numberfive's first batch Spanish
Numberfive's second batch spanish
Numberfive's Afghan ~~~ Indica9's Opium
Locally grown from Persian Whites (first batch)
Locally grown from Persian Whites (second batch-summer harvest)
Pill Popperz
Charasbros


I place it alongside Numberfive's Afghan because, while you are required to smoke less of the Afghan to achieve the same effect and they are roughly the same price, Indica9's is a smoother smoke which is much longer lasting.

Today I received my order from Indica9

It's actually exactly the same print that Neurotic Narcotic has had occasionally for months, and that Stella47 was shipping out at bargain prices last week. Kind of wish I'd picked up a sheet from Stella...

Of course the acid could be different, but given that it's the same print, same advertised dosage, from the same country, at the same time, I'm inclined to assume that it isn't.

 I already posted a review of that batch from Stella on behalf of an expert friend (in Stella's thread), who thought that it wasn't needlepoint, even though it was good.

I'll probably still test it later this week although this seems less urgent now.

 It's still a good enough deal for a smallish quantity, and I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from buying, even though personally I'm a little disappointed if it's just the same thing I could have got from Stella for 800+ / sheet (which would have been 1/3 the price per hit that I paid for this).

And it might well be a different batch...could just be that that actual print is widely available in CH right now and different people are laying on it.

Actually in fact the perforation seems very neat on this so I guess it is evidently not being laid by the same person who laid Stella's.

So maybe it's not exactly the same crystal / dosage. Although it probably is.  Will probably test this week

Really curious  about indica9's new offering, Swiss needlepoint mic'd at 300 anybody order these yet? It looks pretty apealling. Just expensive.

That acid would be very tempting to me, had I not just gotten a vial from JoR.  But good luck with it!  Always glad to see new L on the road.

May I suggest you put this review thread in your signature to give it more visibility as you post around the boards?  It's also a great place to post about a current product offer so people know instantly what you have.
