Title: auto-finalize changes?
Post by: dbz4u on January 15, 2013, 05:52 am
I've noticed that instead of 20 days for auto-finalize after being marked in transit, it is now 17. Is this a glitch? If not, what prompted the change, and why was there no announcement?

It has been 17 days  since escrow and the auto-finalize system were first implemented.

What the hell does that even mean? They've been implemented for months, they changed the timer on autofinalize from 20 days to 17

But it hasn't always been 17, it's been 20 for me every single order until this last week. I remember it being 17 to be able to go the resolution center, but the default timer for AF was 20 days

Apologies, it was quite late when I was writing that. Indeed, as RxKing has stated, I mean that the auto-finalize period has always been 17 days; it has never been 20.

i could've sworn the last time I made an order the auto finalize was always at 20. This was some time ago, but I do remember saying to myself "Alright, I have three weeks to let it get here before I have to FE."

Every order I've ever marked in transit has always been 17 days to autofinalize. Luckily it isn't 20 days...been getting a few too many hitting 17 days.

Yes exactly. That's how i remember it as well, it just changed to 17 for me. I even remember dutch saying let it go to resolve on day 17 so it didn't AF on 20. I am at a loss here
