Title: How to link Vendor Account to Forums Tutorial
Post by: hmdd on December 20, 2012, 03:26 am
You must:

1) Be a vendor for more then a month
2) have your vendor profile linked in your forum signature.
3) have at least 55 (last time I checked) illicit transactions

.....that means E-books do not count.
Things that are not generally "illegal" do not count.
Mushroom Spores are another example of things that mostly do not count.

With those things in place...contact the forum admin to apply for "SR Vendor" status on the forum. This puts the SR Vendor  under your name here and also grants you access to the largely under-impressive "vendor forum" section of this forum.

I say largely under-impressive, because before I had access. I swore once I did it would be the key to all the mysteries of SR. Its not.

Generally speaking you will already have most things figured out before you are ever given access.

PS - Those items listed above are the things you MUST have before you would even be considered.
These items do NOT promise you access.
Access is left entirely up to the admins/mods, some people do get access and then get thrown out, based on acting a fool.

Hope that helps.

Hi there i am looking for information to link this to my vendor account on SR

Hi hmdd,

To link your forum account to your vendor account you simply have to put your SR Vendor link in your forum signature.

Ya I am kinda wondering how to do this too. Some vendors have the title SR Vendor on the left next to their picture in the forums. Not just below in their sig.

Apologies for snipping, Shroomeister! The number for access to the Vendor Roundtable is in fact 35+ illicit transactions. Most of us thought it was 55 for ages, not sure where we got that number from though.   :-\ Thought I was going crazy 'til I found a post from DigitalAlch back in June.

Christy you've been approved.

Figure I may as well post that now that I'm getting some 45 pm a day about this-
You have to have over 35 sales, that were accumulated in a decent amount of time (to keep folks from buying used accounts). Must be illegal goods, have your vendor profile linked in your sig, and as has been stated not be disliked by everyone already in the forum.

Wow, all these rules while you can just right click on your vendor name in your vendor account and copy the link. Or left click, then go to your vendor mainpage and copy that link. Then put it in your signature.

I do not even understand these rules. If you have a vendor account and can sell items, you're a vendor, right?

Not problemo on the snip, but it is indeed 55, not 35. It has changed since June.

The current number of transactions before a *new* vendor can request/require FE is 35.

Not sure what you mean exactly by "dues". We are simply talking about a vendor section within the forums.

Every item you sell has a "commision fee" put on top of it. That is DPRs cut.

True, but the idea that someone "nefarious" in intention could just buy a vendor accnt and then potentially eavesdrop on vendor banter is the reason the forum is semi-private in the first place.

There may be a thing or two said there that a vendor may not say in an open public forum from time to time...
