Title: long time user first time vendor - how to set up clean seller account
Post by: idreamofjeannie on November 18, 2012, 12:17 am
I'm a regular purchaser on SR, and I want to make the switch to becoming a vendor. Only thing is my regular SR account has been used to send to addresses, so I'm uncomfortable using that as a vendor account.

Given that new registrations are closed, any ideas on how to get a clean user account I can convert to a seller account.

I have (in my possession, not "i can get" or "i know a guy") large amounts of the best coke you will see in this life. And I want to sell it!

The only way to do it safely is to get one from the SR itself. I would wait until registrations are open.

Or you might buy a account from another member...
But I wouldn't recommend that and won't even see that as an option.

But registration already is open for new users, why don't you simply register a new account?

Buyer and seller accounts are separate accounts, you dont simply upgrade a buyer account into a seller account.

Given that new registrations are closed, any ideas on how to get a clean user account I can convert to a seller account.

You will have to wait until registrations are open again, you are not allowed to buy or sell vendor accounts and if you get caught your funds may be confiscated.

Bummer.

This is untrue - you do upgrade a buyer account into a seller account. You can do this by clicking the 'become a seller' link in your Account control panel, and paying $150 in Bitcoin.
However it is highly recommended that you open a new account and purchase a vendor account from that as vendors that you have ordered from previously may still have your address (not all vendors erase information as they are supposed to), leaving you open to blackmail from that vendor and / or arrest if it transpires that the vendor your previously ordered from was a member of law enforcement.
