I cant divulge the info but i saw a msg from SR admin that said he was banned.
Trust me, I am not trying to mislead anyone... he was advising SR clients to deal outside of SR, and for that reason he is banned!

Along with mtljohn's other threads which clearly are irrational,..I would wait for more information from other sources before I put much stock into mtljohn's posts.

believe it or not... I can tell you many (over 5) of his clients came to me, telling me that had info on him dealing out side of SR and still charging close to 3200 each to SR clients...
this is why he is banned and he should be... DPR and the admins deserve every penny they make... I dont think they had to change their commission structure half way in and try to grab some more coin.. but hey.. I dont care. I'm happy paying DPR his cut.... I guess mrouid just thought that DPR didn't need or deserve the money! >:(

Silk Road pulls a vendor's account whilst investigating accusations of off-site dealing.
mrouid's account is currently suspended pending the results of such an investigation, but that does not mean that he is guilty of anything as of right now. mrouid did not 'buttfuck' people; his prices were what they were because this is a free market.
mtljohn, I have returned your PM regarding this situation.
mrouid has not been 'banned' in the literal sense of the word, his account has been suspended pending investigation. If I were to make such a claim against a vendor, their account too would be suspended pending investigation regardless of whether or not they have done something wrong.
Accusations of scamming behaviour are dealt with less severely, taking a large number of people to complain before action is taken, presumably, but not definitively because off-site dealing directly affects Silk Road's coffers and directly affects its ability to continue.
Accusations about avoiding commission are dealt with quickly. DPR certainly deserves his commission, but immediately suspending the vendor's account is a huge inconvenience to any innocent vendor who may find themselves at the butt of such accusations, and an inconvenience to any buyers who may have current orders with said vendors. I can't currently think of a better solution though, so I won't attack the solution that is currently in place.

I would encourage everyone that has done business with mrouid in the past to contact SR Support regarding mrouid's suspension. He is one of the longest serving vendors on this site, with one of the largest customer bases - none of those customers have ever been left unsatisfied.
This entire debacle occurred as a result of underhanded tactics by mtljohn in an effort to rid himself of competition. He states that this is good news for buyers, but when has a monopoly on anything EVER been good for buyers?! His actions go against the ideals of agorism, and his feet are planted firmly on the side of his own interests. He doesn't care for buyers here, he cares for his own pockets. Such a view is not the making of a good vendor, as I'm sure those of you who have been dealing with mrouid would agree. mrouid's service has never failed to disappoint, and we should be rallying around him at this time.
I would also ask that you all report mtljohn for directing SR users to contact him via email for "SR down specials", thereby violating the terms of his agreement with Silk Road as set out in the Buyer's Guide, stating that he would not direct customers to purchase from him off-site. He has done just this, as evidenced here:

All buyers should keep their Bitcoin out of mtljohn's hands; such disgusting behaviour should not be rewarded in our community. If he's willing to stoop to such levels in order to increase his edge on a competitor, it's not a big stretch to imagine that he will be trying to get an edge on everyone he does business with. One way, perhaps, may be the storage of addresses to threaten buyers who leave him bad feedback. I'm not saying he's doing that, of course, but his underhanded manner certainly seems to suggest it may be a possibility. Does anybody really want to take that risk?!

I agree with grahamgreene. I would not put anything shady past mtljohn. I agree with his suggestion for mrouid's customers to message SR support. It would be a huge blow to SR to lose mrouid. He is one of the most professional vendors to ever sell on SR.

it was proven to SR that he advised ppl to deal outside of SR.. it was on a 1 pound deal and I saw the whole conversation mrouid had with his client..
they turned him in as well as themselves! if you think ppl begging for mrouid to come back will get him here you are mistaken.. HE FUCKING ROBBED DPR!!! I guess you too think DPR should get buttfucked.... wtf is wrong with you... mrouid screwing DPR makes it harder for DPR to keep us safe....

If Mrouid was negotiating deals outside of SR and got caught, thats on him. I know lots of vendors do it, but they dont get caught so thats life. DPR sets up the site to protect buyers and to allow vendors unimaginable access to thousands of buyers. Taking commissions out of his pocket is wrong. If someones a rat or whatever, thats another issue. But MrOuid made his bed.
DPR's comment on the issue is the one that will have the truth here.

Even if they did keep addresses, releasing the information of someone here goes against everything we stand for, and suggesting it is absolutely deplorable.
I'm clearly no fan of mtljohn, but I will defend his right to anonymity just as I would defend yours if someone were to suggest releasing your identity.

I once again direct your attention to your attempt at making OOE sales by directing SR customers to contact you via email for "SR down specials". If you can not make the connection between what you stated in the quoted text above, and what you are accusing mrouid of, then you are far more out of touch than I imagined.
I told you via PM that I would not report you for directing SR customers to make orders with you via email, and I will stand by that. I'm a man of my word. However, I will encourage others to do so.

this happened 1 week before he listed hes prices800$ cheaper.. you can understand now why some people would see that price drop as a bitch move

SR was down and no one could get on... This was not an hour but days... people still have a right to do business... Luckily tho Sr went back online just hours later so no one needed to contact me through my e-mail.

It is obvious that nobody had reported it to SR Support. I'm sure a number of them have done by now. How is anyone to believe you didn't conduct any sales that way? Especially when you seem so prone to lying as it is. ???
People still have a right to do business, yes, but directing SR customers to conduct sales off-site directly contravenes the rules you agreed to abide by in the Seller's Guide. Posting that in the forums is not the same as having "a right to do business." You have a right to post it elsewhere, but you violated the Silk Road TOS by posting it in the forums.

That is why I am not defending you here. It is evident that you have created this entire debacle in order to do away with one of the most highly respected vendors on this site.

Really? mtljohn, your reputation will be so badly damaged by this that you will struggle to make it to 300 transactions by the 6 month period. That is if your vendor account survives the axe of SR Support for directing people off-site to do business, when they get around to reading the messages concerning that.

I wouldn't say SR is bigger than you guys. SR is a seemingly perfected combination of ideas. It is clear that DPR has been following the scene for awhile, he has seen and understood the mistakes that other sites have made, and he has put everything he learned into creating SR. SR wouldn't exist without the idea of sending contraband in the mail, and people like Mr.Ouid (and possibly you..) have been doing this for 5+years, have perfected the art of packaging, the importance of customer service, and steering clear of decisions that will lead to a bust. SR wants and needs more vendors that understand all of these concepts, and there is a lot of vendors on here that don't fully get it, are stubborn and refuse to change their packaging methods, even though so many are getting intercepted. Who are assholes to customers with special requests, or just don't respond to PMs very much at all. In my opinion, it's the other way around. SR wouldn't be much without the pioneering people and ideas behind it.

People buy from mrouid not only because of his good prices, but because they know they will be dealing with somebody who values their custom. He ensures their safety with his packaging methods and constant communication. He ensures the safety of their money by never requiring FE. Yes, I refer to what I typed above to answer this. What was your business plan? You stated that you would drop prices in order to "turn his clients against him". Surely you must have realised that people were buying from him for a number of reasons, one small reason of which was his price? And that he might lower his prices, thus making his customers happy that they can receive the same great product with the same confidence in their security and safety, but at a lower price? I don't need Silk Road to keep me and my dealings safe. As I told you before, back in the day when direct transfer transactions were utilised for bulk purchases with the full agreement of DPR ("Silk Road" as his/her persona was then known), I made my first ever purchase worth $2000+ with mrouid, and he could easily have run off with my money and I would have had no recourse. A brand new buyer, with no forum reputation, claiming that a highly reputable vendor had scammed him out of over $2000 - I would have had no impact, nor recourse.
Did he scam me? No. His professionalism earned my complete respect, and he got himself a customer for life. There's a reason so many of us are willing to continue doing business with him without the protection of escrow if his account is not reinstated - we trust in his professionalism. I can't imagine ANYONE doing the same for you, should your account be closed in future.

I see tons of listings for mrouid. Ive never purchased from him, the prices are tempting though. It says its commercial weed. Obviously not sticky and seedy though. They just wanted to see the numbers on my scale increase. I was buying stuff inferior to M39 to sell and it sold fast. I couldn't smoke that crap though. Shorter high than my high grade and less pleasant in my opinion. That's another thing about this awesome plant... One size doesn't fit all. You obviously know that psychoactive effects reach a scope beyond indica and sativa. Some people just preferred that low grade bud because of the chemical composition of the particular strain. Others are just stupid and think weight is everything.
But just like that 2002 Civic that's been in the lot for a reasonable price, with low mileage and good operating condition, no one is buying because everytime they glimpse at the car they're quickly reminded of the douche bag that is making commission off the sale. And the test drive was ruined because you didn't know when to shut your fucking mouth.
Anyways, I'm not here to insult at my own amusement. If you want a sustainable business with loyal customers, then understand the importance of customer relations, including prospective customer relations, professionalism, and understand that your competitors serve a market that could very well be served by you one day, should one of them decide to close shop for whatever reason. As of now it's easy to speculate that people would rather smoke tea leaves than buy from you, even if just for a short while, for the time that one big competitor is not around. It is likely that you would keep some of those customers even if MrOuid did return to the market.
If you want to sell that Civic, you gotta politely mention it's availability, who you are, and be friendly and professional to everyone. Don't behave like douche bag and talk to people condescendingly (especially these people...). Most of all, learn what a business is, and what drives long-term profits and success. Sometime while you learn that, you'll realize the mistakes you've made, and that greed and bigotry earn quick profits if any at all. You're primary product is weed which has low addiction potential, many vendors (albeit better quality strains; although that is really subjective), and many ways to turn away from you to do business elsewhere.

If someone takes offense to your constant instigation they can create buyers accounts to scam you or at the very least interrupt your regular business operations (not something I would do in any case, but most of us here know that people can be assholes just for quick personal gain. Add an enemy to the equation (you) and people will do all sorts of shit. It's a small percent but those fuckers are out there.
If you don't like how MrOuid operates in any area of his business, basic economics would give you an advantage if you claim to sell the same product for a lesser price. Need to prove your stuff is just as good? Cheap or free samples has always worked excellent. Basically you don't need to directly attack MrOuid when you have no idea why he charges the price he does, as it could be a perfectly just reason (for example: He doesn't feel it's worth the risk for less). This would be reasonable, just as it would be reasonable to assume that your lesser mark-ups would generate less profit, making you volatile with good reason to leave at any time because you're working too tightly in your profit margin. More profits = more expenditures on precautionary measures, security and anonymity on your part. Maybe he's running a front to diffuse any suspicion, and for that he needs money. Who knows, it's all speculation. But the bottom line is: If you don't want to pay the price, shop elsewhere.

Well I have done some things that I am sure seem very risky to most people here but I go by the theory thinking that only "you" know whats in the package and obviously the more product the higher shipping cost and you'd be pretty surprised how clever some people really are ;) but yea a HP is a good start!

I've been dealing with mrouid for over six months now without any problems whatsoever. I've made at least a half a dozen purchases from him. Always prompt, always excellent packaging, always professional. I, for one, will continue doing business with him.
