:o
So I had a recent client who purchased some product and left me a 3/5 rating.
I just noticed that now I am at 98.9% and not 100% positive feedback like I was prior to the feedback.
I contacted the client and asked him if everything was alright and if he was happy with his buds as soon as I saw the 3/5
I asked him why he chose to give me only a 3/5 and he said "he expected it to be better" even tho he left a positive note in the feedback.
I'm not upset about him leaving a 3/5 if its deserved, but everyone else who has received the same product has left a 5/5 it kinda erks me.
I guess SR needs to make a more intense feedback system so peoples points get across, but ratings don't take a hit unless its warranted.

I actually noticed that myself earlier when looking at your profile, I thought it must've been a mistake given the comment he left! ???
-
Are you talking about this?
3 of 5 good stuff, would grab it again!!
A bit strange if you ask me. Not saying they are wrong, since I've never ordered from you, but if someone is going to leave a 3/5 they should explain why. From the comment alone I would have thought it was going to be a 5/5.
-
I hate it when customers do that with reasons like its cutted for sure or the weight isnt enough.
If they contacted the vendor and work things out so that everybody is happy there wouldnt be a problem.
But instead they dont contact the vendor and give it a bad rating and the number goes down.
Not that it bothers me that much but if you number is going below the 60 or 50 i think customers are
going to think twice to order something with the vendor.
I agree with a better system but i think that is gonna be difficult.
-
well I told you John it gets worse from here and all you can do is keep your product great and give great service there is always someone that likes to mess stuff up
-
as long as a seller is above 95% i consider them fairly reputable....
-
Wtv.. it is what it is I guess.
Its ok..
Hopefully it wont affect sales too much!

you only have 28 transactions man...
once you get over 100 these 3/5s and 4/5s will become negligible...
but hey...27/28 satisfied customers...you're doing something right....

Thanks dude, I'm pretty sure he is satisfied he was just expecting more.. what else more I don't know.
But yeah 27/28 aint bad!

Maybe he just didn't understand the significance of feedback ratings on this site. People who are used to just rating things on amazon or rating a movie, etc probably just don't realize.
-
Well that's just stupid, I may have only gotten your sample tonight but even before smoking it I could tell it's fairly nice bud! Shit, my fingers got sticky just taking the buds from the vacuum sealing to one of my jars! ;D I grinded up one of those tiny buds of M39 and packed a bowl and it's been about a solid 2 hours now even after smoking wax earlier in the day, nice! ;) Definitely not a 3/5, fuck that bullshit, should be more like 6/5. :))
-
I think there must be a small percentage of buyers that like to take the feedback rating system into their own hands, as if they were reviewing a movie. Seems he gave you 3 stars! Sounds like he received good quality bud in a smooth transaction. I think all reliable SR vendors deserve Oscars!

If the same guy orders from you once again, send him a dildo instead of cannabis :D

Haha! Not so sure that's a good idea though.. Given how much he obviously likes to fuck others he just might enjoy fucking himself a little too much!

it shouldn't i'm thinking of trying an oz of that M39 how is it? i saw someone say its mids for canadians the shit looks good to me and only saw 1 person say they didn't like it b/c of the smoke probably still try for myself if i order before 12pm edt will it ship today?
-
A 3/5 and the feedback is... positive?
So, he expected it to be better, and docks you 2 points for that? This seems a little excessive, especially considering he didn't talk with you first.

I see you did not order, bet yes it would normally go out the same day,
And it is real nice smoke.. It's true its considered mids here n Canada but its still some awesome stuff!
Try it out.. I'm sure you will enjoy!

Thanks Gary, I'm sure once you have a chance to smoke it it will only reconfirm your suspicion!

That's a funny idea but if he orders again, prior to shipping I will contact said buyer and see what his expectations are...If I can not reach them then I will just cancel the order!
;)

I agree. afaik everything < 5 counts as negative in the stats. So 3/5 should be neutral imho, but isn't. (please correct me if I am wrong)
@mtljohn: you can't always make everyone happy. Sometimes people just don't like it for whatever reason. Happens to every legit vendor.
I'd totally order some weed ;D, but you are on the wrong continent.
Yeah I know the proverb "if you try to please everyone you will please no one"
But still, I do carry only top notch buds, I'm buy from the growers, and I only buy the best stuff. Unlike vendors here who grow I have an option as to which bud I choose to supply and am not forced to sell what I grew! I think that gives me a super advantage over a lot of the compatition but none the less I would like to keep a 100 rating... I guess thats gone for ever now..
-
Don't worry about those people, the real customers and the smart ones will still buy from you. They will use the forums and see how good you are :)
Shame you don't ship to the UK though

I would like to keep a 100 rating... I guess thats gone for ever now..
Nope, with enough new 5/5's from active raters buying high value items your 100 rating will be back in no time. :)

No probs! :)
Yeah the recent updates to the Wiki are great for new users and old users alike. The information is laid out far better than it used to be, and is a lot more accurate / relevant!

Hey John,
Don't worry about your rating - My guess is the buyer didn't know it would affect your overall perfect score. I can vouch for you personally though: to anyone reading this thread; John is really good for communication and delivery. The product is about as top line as you can get and if it's not then he tells you straight up before you order. If all vendors and buyers had John's ethics then there would never be any problems with dishonestly or scamming.
Can't wait for my latest order to arrive - gonna be a good weekend!

Thanks wakman..... Hopefully I'll get it back to 100 in no time! I appreciate the kind words though
Hopefully that order will arrive for the weekend.. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

I guess SR needs to make a more intense feedback system so peoples points get across, but ratings don't take a hit unless its warranted.
The feedback system could use some changes. The way it stands right now it's very subjective. The feedback scores I give vendors are based on the transaction itself: did it go smoothly? Did I receive my order in a timely fashion? If not, was the vendor OK with giving an extension? Was the order packaged safely and securely?
Shame on the buyer for giving you bad feedback based solely on quality. That's really not cool.
It would be good if SR had some radio button thingys to come up with the score. Such as:
- Quality
- Communication
- Packaging
- Speed of delivery
- etc
Rate those attributes of the transaction on a scale of 1-5 and come up with a weighted score that truly reflects the nature of the transaction.
EDIT:
Now that I think about it, it would be nice if vendors could rate buyers as well. Buyers get to see the rating of a vendor. It seems fair that vendors could rate buyers as well. Vendors could rate buyers on such attributes as:
- Politeness
- Promptness of finalization
- Expectations
It would be good for vendors to see a little more subjective information rather than the buyer stats that are available to them. I understand there's a vendor forum where some of these things may be discussed but personally I'd like to see some transparency. As an honest buyer, it would actually be very useful for me to know what vendors think of doing business with me. If that information was made public it would also make me accountable to ensure that those stats remained as high as possible.
-
Only two words needed to deal with a situation like this, and that my friends and fellow vendors is "Fuck it". People are going to be pricks, that's just life. I was at 97.6 and when the maintenance tweaks happened I went down to 93.4 for some reason. Don't give a shit though, the rating system is unfair IMO and my feedback speaks for itself. I'd rather have a customer read my feedback and make a decision based on what others say than just a number.
So to reiterate - Fuck it.

yeah I totally agree changes need to take place.. And as soon as I have my 35 transactions I'ma be kicking down that door into that vendors forum!!
Hopefully I wont need to kick it and it will open... preferably with a red carpet to stroll down. :D
