Title: Total noob question
Post by: Hooper Crosby on September 25, 2012, 11:36 am
I swear I'm not retarded, but  how do you give Karma? I cant find an option anywhere. Is there a default setting I need to change or something?

Well, my logic is telling me that you don't have the option until you reach a certain number of posts. This might have been implemented due to retarded kids that were creating accounts just to give "-" karma.

As I said this is what I think, I'm not sure but wait until an older member  will clarify the situation.

Once you have reached 100 posts you will be able to give positive or negative karma to any member, once every 72 hours.

The karma system is nothing more than a 'fun' add-on, positive or negative karma it has no bearing on anything on SR. Though if you see someone with a high negative karma count, chances are their posts are usually either idiotic or inflammatory, or just badly received by the majority of the community here.

It's important to understand that it's just a forum add-on. I see so many people getting riled up because the receive negative karma - it's ridiculous!!  ???
