Hi Everyone,
I was mostly curious if it was possible for listings to be "blocked" from users which do not match specific requirements (ie: not enough purchases, refund rates, etc). One vendor has my interest but I am unable to see his or hers items even though their profile reads that they have posted listings and that users have ordered those items (as indicated by their history).
Or, is it just that the vendor is literally running out of stock so quickly and I need to check back more frequently?
Any help would be appreciated.

No it is not currently possible for vendors to block listings from certain buyers depending on their purchasing stats. A vendor can, however, de-list their items, put the item listing into stealth mode or place their vendor profile into stealth mode.
If a vendor's profile is in stealth mode, buyers who haven't become a fan of the vendor will not be able to find the vendor on Silk Road, as they need the vendor's url. Vendors that you are a fan of will appear in a list on the right hand side of the Silk Road homepage.
If a listing is in stealth mode, buyers who have not bookmarked the item will not be able to see it under the vendor's listings, even if they are a fan of the vendor. They need to have the item in question bookmarked as they need the item's specific url to access it. I think they must also be a fan of a vendor in order to see the vendor's stealth item listing, though I stand to be corrected on that point. Items that you have bookmarked will also appear in a list on the right hand side of the Silk Road homepage.

Stealth mode
Stealth mode allows you to run your business out of view of the general public. Whether your sales are growing faster than you can expand your infrustructure to keep up, or you just don't want to be in the public eye any more and are happy with the size of your current customer base, stealth mode might by the solution for you. When activated, your listings will no longer appear in public searches, category views, or any pages linked to from the public site. However, your user and item pages will still be available when accessed directly, so your regular customers can still make purchases from you. You may activate stealth mode from your settings page. Note: It can take up to an hour for your listings to go stealth because of caching.
Stealth listings
When listing or editing an item, you may also control its visibility. By checking the box next to stealth listing, you remove the listing from public searches, browsing, and even your user page, so it is only accessible by visiting the item url directly (you can find a link on your account page). This is useful for custom listings meant only for a specific buyer, or for listings you don't want visible on your publicly facing user page.
You should read through the Buyer's Guide and the Seller's Guide in full, and also run through the SR Wiki in order to get a better idea of how the system works overall.

good explanation grahamgreene! But I'd like to ask, how can we know if a vendor is on stealth mode? Also, is their last logged in not updating even if they log in everyday?

Hi ferdz,
If a vendor has put their profile into stealth mode you will see "in stealth mode" written underneath their username. By virtue of being 'stealth', you will not be able to find their profile anywhere unless you have their direct url (i.e., you have them 'fanned' or you find their url written somewhere.)
When a vendor is in stealth mode, their "last logged in" does not update at all.
