Hi,
I'm a new SR user and I've been lurking around SR for a while now. i understand almost everything i need to do to make a purchase on SR but I'm having difficulty obtaining bitcoins in canada.
Can someone help me out? Or post a detailed instruction guide ?

bitcointalk.org forums there are guy's who do Interac online banking to Bitcoins.
can also pay cash deposit at canadianbitcoins.com or cash load your account on cavirtex
can also just find people selling for cash on bitcointalk in montreal, vancouver and alberta. i think bitcoin-central.net does CAD too but no idea anymore

Have you ever used canadianbitcoins.com or cavirtex?

cavirtex is legit.

I just made a direct deposit to cavirtex via RBC. The teller was asking me a bunch of questions, is this a business? are they expecting this deposit? are you a employee? etc.
She asked me for my I.D and I said I didn't bring it. She just took down my name.
Will I be ok as long as I launder the coins through another wallet, before putting them on SR?

You'll be OK even if you gave them legit info.. buying bitcoins is NOT illegal.

canadianbitcoins.com are excellent. I exclusively buy my coins there, for what it's worth. :)

Thanks guys, I was able to purchase bitcoins. I'm wondering if its safe to use my home address while ordering domestically in Canada? The contents of the package will have illegal substances

Absolutely. Anybody can send anybody else anything in the mail. However, I would highly recommend you read through the security forum before you make any purchases on SR. Take the time to learn how to use PGP, always encrypt your address, and never Finalize Early.
If you have any questions, do a search for them; if a search turns up no answers, make a new thread with your problem and you'll get the answers you need. :)
Good luck!

I would like to use canadianbitcoins.com
They said I need a wallet.
Should I download a wallet to my computer or use an online service?
Thanks, this is all confusing and I am trying to learn :)
