Is it true that if you ask a cop whether or not they are a cop they have to say yes?
I've always heard different things from different people but I'm wondering if there's anyone out there that really know?

No. Not in the US at least. They CAN and WILL lie to you in any way possible.

Well of course they can lie! They lie all the time! How else would they do undercover? They also can use drugs too........and do. But I do think you should wear the garlic to be safe:) edit: They love to taser  and kill too

Always make them kill a hooker first to prove they are not a cop. Cops CAN lie and do drugs, but I don't think they can kill hookers.

They can definitely lie, just how in prostitution sting operations people usually ask the undercover cop (prostitute) if she is a cop and they always say no, you can do things to sniff them out though because there are things cops can't do.

Cops can and do lie at any opportunity. Never trust them about ANYTHING. Don't let them into your house, don't give them any information about anything, don't be friends with any cops. They manipulate and pervert justice whenever it will bring them a conviction whether you are guilty or not.

Wasn't there a case where a NY Vice officer was giving a hooker crack for blow jobs and then later testified against him in court? If they can do that....they can lie about not being a cop.

  This is true for the most part....never let them in just to talk! always insist on a warrant. Don't corporate no matter how "friendly" they may seem?....god cop bad cop shit.....no matter what they just want to fuck you over..and you now how to ask for your Miranda rights. What a joke our criminal system has become
