Title: UK Buyers

Im finding it a minefield to get hold of btcs is someone here uk based who could advise please ..? :D

Go to intersango create an account, log onto your online banking and transfer money from your bank to inersangos (find there info in the accounts page>british pound>add funds). Itll take a while for intersango to add credit to your account (few hours) once youve got GBP credit go o the buy/sell page and purchase the amount off bitcoins you want using your GBP balance...then once youve got bitcoins in your account send them to your bitcoin address here on sr.
sounds daunting but yeah has to be done!

You can do as IAmMeaty says with MtGox.com - Personally I found it better than Intersango since they don't keep changing their back account details.

Make sure you put your reference when you make the payment!!! :)

You can also use Western Union transfer to buy from canadianbitcoins.com or wm-center.com

I'm in Ireland, so they're the only easy anonymous options open to me right now. You could also look at bitcoin-otc.com and buy from a trusted member there via bank transfer or otherwise.

Remember, there's nothing illegal about buying Bitcoins. Just make sure you transfer the coins in varying amounts to a number of wallets before you send them to Silk Road - the benefit of doing this is debatable, but for the small amount of time it takes to do it, it wouldn't do any harm.
