Quote from: Manfred on May 16, 2012, 01:14 pmOk thanks for the comment.Yeah I am a new buyer with no history, and he is a new seller with no history. It's only 6 bc, so I'm not hugely scared about being scammed, but maybe I should cancel and try an established seller.Hi Manfred,If the vendor has less than 35 sales and has been a vendor for less than a month (as seems to be the case here), he or she is explicitly prohibited from asking people to Finalize Early. They agree to these terms when they agree to the Silk Road Seller's Guide (http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/index.php/silkroad/sellers_guide), the terms of which are acknowledged by virtue of agreeing to the Silk Road Seller contract. The section below sets out Silk Road's policy on Finalizing Early:Quote from: Silk Road Sellers Guide(NOTICE: If you are a new vendor, you may not ask your customers to finalize their orders and release payment to you before you ship, a practice known as "finalizing early". If you do this, you will lose your selling priviledges. Once you have completed 35 successful transactions and have been a seller for at least one month, you may ask your customers to finalize early without reprocussion. In no way do we support finalizing early in general and this rule should not be construed as support for finalizing early for more established vendors. These restrictions on the vendor are in place for your protection as a buyer. It is incredibly important to report instances of vendors who are breaking this rule to SR Support - please also name this vendor here so as others can avoid them in future.Quote from: squig007 on September 01, 2012, 11:03 amhi i made my first purchase the other day with supertrips. i fe early as is his terms and conditions but once i finalised my order disappeared from my order page is this normal ?Hi squig007,Yes, once you finalise an order it will disappear from your order page.'Finalised' by it's very definition means that the deal or transaction has concluded, with both parties fully satisfied. As far as the Silk Road system is concerned, you've received your package and are happy with it's contents. Note that by Finalising Early you now have no recourse available to you in the event that your package does not arrive, and can not avail of the Silk Road resolution process. You can, however, still access your feedback via the "View feedback" link in the "Account links" panel on your Account page.- grahamgreene
