The price of BTC rises and falls.. I recently bought over 700 coins, and got them for 2.64 each. I would have gotten them cheaper, but get-bitcoin.com had some Western Union issues and delayed my purchase; eventually I had to cancel that order and order on bitcoin-otc. But I got them in the end, and over the next couple of days they'd risen to over 5.00, which meant that the value of my coins nearly doubles. I still had 700+ coins, but they were now worth a $ USD amount nearly twice what they were; this allowed me to purchase twice as much on Silk Road as the prices here are generally pegged to the dollar, and Bitcoin's dollar value rises and falls depending on a range of factors. Check www.bitcointalk.org on the clearweb, have a read around the forums there and try wrap your head around the idea of Bitcoin. The price goes up and down a lot, going through frequent price adjustments when the prices go wildly out of control (though I have no idea how these happen; I just know that they do!), and generally remains in a stable $0.20c - #$0.40c for a period of time before the next rise / fall.Ideally, due to the fluctuation in the currency, you'd want to buy coins as you need them, transfer them to SR, and make your purchase as quickly as possible but our current options here in Ireland are quite limited.I always make sure I have at least 15 BTC in a reserve wallet in order to cover myself for any currency fluctuations that may occur. If I have to use some of that to make a purchase on SR, I put twice as much back into my reserve pot, thus ensuring that I'll have enough coin to complete a transaction if the price swings wildly all of a sudden; building a reserve in Bitcoin also makes sure that I don't spend all my money in the real world, hoping for the time when Bitcoin has another huge surge in value, allowing me then to cash some of it out and drive off into the sunset in my Bitcoin-purchased Ferrari. :PAs I said in the other reply, it may be a good idea to open up an Ulster Bank account if you want to get your BTC same day by going through the SEPA transfer route. They won't always be there the same day, but that's been the case for a few friends of mine recently when they make early morning transfers. You can make money and lose money buying Bitcoin, but factor a 5% drop in value into your overheads for selling E and you'll generally have yourself covered.Buying off a dealer in real life over here might get you cheaper E, but the quality of the E on here is in a world of it's own, especially compared to what we get on the streets here. I used to buy bulk amounts of weed at 7 a gram and sell it on for between 10 and 13 a gram depending on the quality, and that was usually with sprayed stuff. Now I can provide customers with completely clean product at a better price than the same clean product sells for over here, and at a better price. I'm sell higher volumes now at cheaper prices, which means I'm actually making MORE money than I was before, and providing my customers with better quality product.Once your customers see the quality of your E, they'll pay a premium for it!- grahamgreene- grahamgreene
