-
I love SR because it gives me access to things I don't have access to irl.
Expands my horizons and all that. <3

its let me get hold of things i was either sure were gone forever (real mdma) or that id almost certainly never have got the chance to try, stuff id only read about lucky bastards trip reports on erowid et al about is now coming my way, not to mention the fact that here you can be almost sure of getting quality stuff, hell ive had better molly and hash here than ive ever gotten from a local dealer, weights are pretty much always bang on too , oh yeah and i can buy drugs all but for free with coins i make on my computer (well ok, i can supplement my buying anyway, id need a whole lot more hardware to support my nefarious habits)
whats not to love?
-
I like it because where I live I can't get my medicine. Plus I've never had access to weed that actually has a name! 8)
-
the guns. (JK) i would say the convenience of not having to call up 50 different ppl to find something in particular.
-
I love it because I don't have to put my real life person and real life reputation all at stake just to get some drugs that I like to use recreationally.
Plus I get to come online and find out new and interesting things about the drugs I like that, many times, make my experience safer/more fun!
And I get to participate in one small corner of the world where the Koch Bros/Rupert Murdoch/Bill Gates's of the world don't get to tell me what to do no matter how big the gap is between myself and them financially.
Lastly, I get to give good advice to people newer to the drug forum game and repay the karmic debt I have to the old heads who taught me everything when I was an over anxious, nervous, full of questions newbie myself. :)

Excellent post Joe. That pretty much sums it up.

Because SR is the most blatant expression of agorism that exists at the moment.

I am totally addicted. And I'm not even talking about drugs, I'm talking about SR. It's even getting scary how much I keep browsing the site and the forum. Probably because this is all so new and exciting. Without a doubt one of the milestone in the history of the internets.
So yeah, I love it for most of the reasons mentioned in this thread, except for the guns which is lame to have here and does damage to the image of the reasonable proponents of responsible drug use that we are, at least many of us.
Let's enjoy SR to the max, while it lasts.

Large selection of things TO GET ME HIGHHHHHHHHHHHH
Pretty much this
Where I live, I can only find people that only care about weed

The community's great. Almost everybody is real friendly and trustworthy. Also we're giving the authorities ulcers because we're trading without their supervision. 8)
We're proof that we don't need busybodies to tell us how to live our lives.
-
Because now when I reference a .onion people have to wonder whether I am into drugs or CP. (Only drugs thank you)
Ha but really.. because this place is a really is great. We have a great community - some really friendly, intelligent, and witty people. Most days I love everything about my time here from vending to modding. Also its a great reminder that their are those who take pride in their vending/work, which is so refreshing, not just dealing with uninformed overpriced shit.
Love you all : )
Peace,

LOL, anyway, I love SR because of what happens to me sometimes F2F. Yesterday, going to get an oz, through a friend. The guy shows up at her house wanting the money, then he'll go get it. She has used him before, but the guy he was with was nervous and she didn't trust him. I told her always trust your gut, never take your eyes off the ball. Well needless to say, it fell through, sux. I love SR.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways:
1. Silk Road mitigates the inherent violence of government prohibition. Yes, I still have to worry about violence from the gang of people with badges and guns (cops) in some regard but the threat of getting robbed by a dealer is nearly non-existent. The threat of being caught "red-handed" in the act of a drug deal is nearly non-existent.
2. The community is wonderful. We will never eliminate irresponsible drug users and crooked dealers, but through communication and sharing of knowledge through trip reports/experiences, safety & best practices, and vendor feedback we raise the overall responsibility level. Very few people want to get brain damage or kill themselves through drug abuse. Because of drug prohibition, we don't have (many) professional doctors, chemists, psychologists and scientific testing to study the benefits and detriments of many of these substances. However, by cooperating, communicating, and supporting the community we can negate this harmful side-effect of prohibition.
3. Buying drugs on a website and having them delivered in the mail is fucking cool :D :D :D
