Hey guys,
So fuck MyBitcoin.com. It may be the latest scam. About 2 days ago I noticed some of my temp MBC accounts were way lower than before and yesterday it started 504ing. TTL expired. There are a lot of large spends on blockexplorer and I am really hoping that isn't all out money being funneled out. They are registered thru PrivacyShark. Fuck. So if you recently placed an order with me and were happy with the outcome (95% are out of 42 trans) please feel free to donate via SR User>User. Also we will be posting a new item on SR to help raise funds. Rent is due the 1st and I'm tripping out. Anything is appreciated and I would only post this in the most dire circumstances. I have many friends on here and I hope nobody takes this the wrong way. If you recently placed an order with me, it will still be shipped.
We are not stopping business, as we have plenty of chocolate/hash and postage.
*If this is not allowed here, please let me know. I wish to preserve my reputation.

edit: Thanks for the kind wishes guys! We are holding in there!

I highly doubt MyBitcoin is a scam, but who knows. I wouldn't trip too much.
-
many many people are in the same boat, some for 1000's of bitcoin. Hopefully it will all work out but at this point no one knows.
-
Bitcoin forum users have been calling MyBitcoin a scam for months. Sorry to say, I don't think they're ever coming back.
-
I am SOOOO Glad that I never used my online bitcoin account. about 3 weeks ago, I read that they were selective scamming over at the bitcoin forums. Just use your computers bitcoin wallet and you should be fine, I agree, I dont think that they are coming back, if they do, stay far away...
-
The amount of time and effort put into that website is phenomenal for a scam. I really hope it comes back online for everyones sake.

Aaahhh, quite right young mr. envious, but the best scams in the world are like the description Albert Brooks gives of the devil in the movie "Broadcast News":
"What do you think the Devil is going to look like if he's around? Nobody is going to be taken in if he has a long, red, pointy tail. No. I'm semi-serious here. He will look attractive and he will be nice and helpful and he will get a job where he influences a great God-fearing nation and he will never do an evil thing... he will just bit by little bit lower standards where they are important. Just coax along flash over substance... Just a tiny bit. And he will talk about all of us really being salesmen. And he'll get all the great women."
I always think of that quote when thinking about scams. A really good scammer would put an inordinate amount of effort into it expecting to get an inordinate return. When that Black Market site first opened I assumed it was either a very incompetent site op, a scam to get access to peoples SR accounts, or an LE trap to garner passwords knowing a lot of people would use the same ones they use at SR.
Even SR would be a great trap to catch most of the online sellers, even though a lot of drugs got delivered in the meantime. I'm thinking that's one of the reasons the core OS guys don't participate. They're more safety conscious/paranoid, cloistered, etc. But only a few of them are on here, even under different names.

that sucks. i didn't know it was down. i used it before, but never kept coins in there for very long.
it seems that keeping coins in your account at gox or tradehill is a good way to go before you send to tumbler.

I have used Mybitcoin and it worked fine. Never kept any coin there longer than a day.
Is there another tumbler that is safe?

Can anyone give any info on this paste? Not sure who pasted it.

I've only been using Mybitcoin as a convenient extra tumbler, but I got super unlucky and had roughly 100BTC sent in just as they went down :(

Very good examination. This seems like something right out of Robert Greene's 48 Laws of Power. The reason the OS guys don't participate is mainly due to politics.

I have used Mybitcoin and it worked fine. Never kept any coin there longer than a day.
Is there another tumbler that is safe?
Try using Blind Bitcoin Transfers: http://n7zdesslujl5ba4q.onion/
or BitLaundry (a bit pricey): http://znegstqkxqrdflol.onion/

Looks like blindbitcoin is down for good. Somebody found a liability in his code. Im only assuming that they were able to scam Bitcoins from him somehow. Thats too bad, he seemed to be a stand up guy. There are some smart MoFo's out there....

Man, the second one is a scam. BitLaundry doesn't have a hidden service. And its missing steps. Try and avoid referencing something without using it yourself.

Don't confuse
https://bitlaundry.appspot.com/ and https://bitlaundry.com/
appspot should work
bitlaundry just adds on to the chain (not helpful)
and just to make it more confusing the guy who ones the nonworking one just bought the working one
Go figure

Thanks a lot everyone who has donated so far!

Thanks KB the bit laundry looks like a good spot.
Sorry to the loss of BTC from Mybitcoin for those shanked.
No traffic jams on the extra mile.
