They basically confiscate the goodies and send you a note saying "Don't do this again, blah blah blah". D:
Of course, large amounts of drugs (read:pounds of weed) would be targeted.

"Don't do this again" ??  Brilliant reply, Admit.

Lost...to have your question answered accurately and  intelligently you'd have to provide a few more details.  Like for instance, if it was 90 xanax then yeah, most likely nothing to worry about.  900 xanax?  That's something you'd probably need to worry about.  Can the shipping address be tied directly to you or was it being sent to an anonymous drop?  Was it coming to your house?  Basically, what happens after the fact hinges on several variables such as the type of contraband seized, the amount, the traceability of the intended receiver..etc.

Also, were the drugs packed into a puppy's anus? This is relevant.

depends on the drugs, the quantity, the country, and the address

if its say aus and its 100 valium tablets, a friendly letter saying don't do it again.
1000 valium tablets probably will earn you a visit from the police
1 gram of heroin will earn you a visit from the federal police raiding your house

Basically don't ship it to your house, and certainly don't put your name on it.

I normally grind up the puppy, cut it with talc and pack the puppy inside an adult dog. Double packing ftw.

As long as you're not a dumb fuck, and don't admit to it, not much. Just because something was sent in your name and to your home, doesn't mean that you ordered it, basically. They would have to prove that you ordered it.

This too.  It's really easy to be intimidated by the cops and admit everything or assist them in investigating you, but simply assert your right to remain silent, even if threatened with arrest.  Just keep saying, "I have nothing to say," or, "No comment."  If they can't prove you ordered the goods, then it'll be difficult for them to prosecute you.

With all due respect the consensus on here goes against this advice.  As mentioned before just because drugs are sent in your name to your house doesn't count as strong evidence in court.  You grabbing a package with drugs in it that isn't sent to your address and isn't in your name *is* incriminating.

Some people will disagree but the majority of experienced people on the Silk Road here have the drugs sent to their address with their real name on it.  Also, if one's package gets seized by customs my advice is to ignore it (and whatever message they send you) and realize that law enforcement might now have an eye on your address.

If it is a small amount, you'll probably only get a "love letter" - The LE wont waste their time or money going after people ordering a gram or so on the internet.

Although, if it's something substantial and they think you are getting it with the intent to deal - they will try bust your ass somehow.

I don't know the exact % but its approx 80% of people incriminate themselves on video interview, the police tell you beforehand that you don't have to say anything, (this is your right, you can not get in trouble for not answering their questions) and that what you do say they will use as evidence against you, so pretty much most of the time they have fuck all on you apart from circumstancal*(spelling?) evidence, which is fuck all, i know this for a fact, NEVER EVER talk to the police, NEVER admit ANYTHING, no matter what situation you are in, No matter how much trouble your in take my advice and say NOTHING to the police, say NO COMMENT to EVERY question they ask you, no matter what they say to you, they will try all their tricks, they will try everything to try and make you talk, even if they remand you unless it is a VERY MAJOR charge and i mean VERY MAJOR, you WILL get bail, it might take upto 24 hours to get bailed infront of a judge etc, but you WILL get bail. i am speaking from many experiences, Also what you get charged with and what you get convicted of are 2 very different things, Most people give themselves up thinking that they are screwed, DON"T SAY A FUCKING WORD, no matter what you get caught doing/with. There are many parts of the law that most people don't understand, one of them is circumstancal* evidence.
Ask a lawyer and they will tell you the exact same as i have. NO COMMENT no matter what trouble you are in.

I burnt the customs letter I got after asking friends about it and reading advice on here.

Anyone ever experience a second seizure and what happened if you did? Another letter or a visit?

I agree. The more you try to insulate yourself you make it harder to deny knowledge of it and if LE connects the dots complex plains can provide  proof of intent.

Just keep your plan simple. And only personal use.

Don't involve other people.

If LE bothers to pay you a visit say nothing.

Don't consent to a search of your person or property.

Stay safe. Stay smart and stay free.

Ive had packages that were confiscated before.   Well I believe they were confiscated because they never showed.  Aaaaaaaand nothing happened.... No letter, no cops showing up.. nothing... just act as if you werent even expecting it and ask for either a refund or reshipment

well I am vendor and I send many packages to the States and I have never had any seized on the US soil.
In fact I feel that they either never check the stuff properly or they don't bother about them. A lot depends on what is there in the package and how is  it packed.

If your stuff does get seized, then if they feel like it was important and big enough for them, then they monitor you, come searching at your place and try to catch you at a point when you just can't deny or get saved somehow. So if  you ever get a letter or your package gets seized then just stop your activity for sometime or  hide it the best you can.

Wishing you all the very best of love and drugs!!

Cheers!! :D
