Tormarket forum
« on: December 14, 2013, 04:38:14 am »
In light of recent security exposure. I sure am curious what is going on on the Tormarket forum. I have not bothered to register.

Maybe someone can give me a summary :)

The Tor Market forum has been down today and parts of yesterday. Dont know why?

The market itself is up and running fine.

So the situation there is the opposite to here.

We have no working market,,but the forum is fine

Well the forum is up on my end... without logging in that is.. and I see threads about the recent exposure.

I'm curious what's inside.

If I were them, I would've taken the forums offline for as long as possible to try to prevent knowledge of DPR's post from spreading. Without a post on their forums about the revelation, I'd assume the vast majority of users wouldn't know. At this point there's no telling how TM itself might react. They may not wait to see how much of a hit their market takes (they might close the site, steal all the coins, and then claim they were hacked by DPR). It's going to be interesting to see how things unfold.

There are rumours spreading Silk Road is currently DOS'ing Tor Market. These rumors are false and we are not attacking nor do we plan to. I have said what I have needed to say and I advised my vendors to withdraw their bitcoins from the site in the event the administrators closed it in panic.

Wow, and the drama unfolds.  I read on TM forums that Mods have been absent for a minute.  Either they're working on TM or they are working on how to get the BTC's out as fast as possible.  I had high hopes for TM, SR2 kinda needs them to handle all the traffic lately like bakopy had mentioned.  But more and more it seems like TM is the Sheep in disguise, it did not help that they were willing to take on all Sheep for free.

lol probably because of me. I should have a female as my avatar. But it's interesting over there, many of them consider us DPR fanboys and still completely support TorMarket after learning about what DPR posted (and they blame DPR for the current DDOS so they're upset with him and SR).

The thread's title is: Tormarket forum, in case you haven't notice!

If you have confidence in this market you wouldn't work so hard on preventing members from discussing their options! It only makes you look desperate and pathetic!

This is a drug market, and you should expect people discussing other currently available markets! Deleting urls won't make people change their minds about what they prefer to use.

You need to find something to fill your time with my friend :)

P.S: threats of banning the membership are not cool. My life doesn't depend on "go4greens", ya know!

Tormakets shitting bricks, looks like the scam isnt going to work out so well for them. If only DPR would get his act together maybe the next herd movement will go here instead of some other scamsite.

I agree with you, but it does promote the market by allowing people to see a link they may have otherwise not been able to see. But then what about vendors who have links to other markets in there signature?

It seems both markets are hard at work censoring both forums.  This makes me think of my original tin hat conspiracy;

There's probably only 50 < or less team on both markets with more than 50 shill accounts creating the environment.
99% of marketplaces are created by this same team.  Move the herd back and forth collecting all the bitcoins the herd is dropping.
After reading about Stylometry, the picture is somewhat clearer, like dropping LSD for the 1st time and becoming disillusioned with humanity.
