HOW ABOUT AN UPDATE on the launch update??!

I still wonder why the thread "Launch Notes (Important - Please Read) *UPDATED*" is
NOT kept updated...
DPR is complaining about be asked to the functionality of the site and pointed to
read his updates in the thread and the thread itself is not up to date...

I understand that the system should be running without bugs and therefore it will take
some time but anyway the community should be updated!

The last update says that the site is 12-24 hrs. behind.

I'd rather have a site that's secure and functional, than a site half-assed completed, and buyers flooding the forums/inboxes of Mods complaining about trivial issues.

I under stand sr was the best, probably will always be the best, but like rome, the silkroad was and is not going to be built in one day! we will be lucky if it is out by the 1st of december..ok put that on your calenders and chill people. any earlier and its happy Christmas.

I just hope they can get the sub categories for drugs functioning soon. I liked having a category for heroin so I didnt have to sift thru listing after listing of some BS "opioid" prescriptions when all I wanted was some good gear. Lets get get those sub categories back in action! Please?

Also, we need some quality H vendors on SR too. I'm looking for guys who can sell quality gear at a reasonable price and get it shipped out quickly. I don't need no super pure $300 shit. I just want some good stuff I can afford, sold by weight, not bullshit stamps, and I want it shipped fast. Once that stuff starts coming back, I will consider SR to be officially back in action.

I have to agree with OP here.  I am completely understanding of the fact everyone involved is extremely busy but it's not like DPR isn't posting to the forums throughout the day.  He posts semi-regularly every day so I don't think it would be that much to ask to right a quick paragraph of where we are in the roll out process once a day.  It what cut down on all the speculation and questions running rampant on these forums and if nothing else, it will reset our expectations which is totally fine.

What's frustrating is, DPR does give one line updates here and there in answer to a direct forum post so if you search his posts you can find more updates than if you go to the main Updates sticky which to me, seems a bit backwards.  At any rate, I'm sure they are close.

What Master Reaper said!  We have all waited this long, what is another couple days in the grand scheme of things?  If it means the site can stay functional and keep everyone safe for years to come then it will make all the difference in the world.

I have faith in this new DPR.  He has been consistent and on point as far as I'm concerned.  Building a secure site, one of which is completely legal is quite a task.  So, building a site that is illegal from the ground up, that has just been devastated by complete force of shutdown, with LE watching every single step, within weeks of the initial shutdown...well that my friends is....wait, wait for it....legendary.  So, with that being said, there will be problems along the way, could be a few or a dozen, miniscule or extreme. Who knows.  But, that is exactly what I believe DPR and the crew are preparing for.  The unknown. 

So sit tight, and relax.

sildenafil is right. He's not out of bounds by asking for an update! He's not the only one. It's not like demanding the site be UP AND RUNNING THIS INSTANCE. But DPR is making regular posts on the forum.. so it's not outrageous to ask him for a simple update on where we are and when the site will actually be launched. I've seen about 3 or 4 timeframes set for the site to be live, live, and we've blown right past them. The only difference is this last update which was "they will be rolling out wallets very shortly" was two days ago. Not only do I have customers I can' potentially be losing because I'm refusing to deal off-site/off-SR (and if ANY vendor out there claims they don't have customers trying to sweet talk them into going around SR they're either lying or their product aint popular), I was told to "stock the shelves" 8 days ago. For me, stocking the shelves meaning obtaining a lot of product. Sitting on it for 8 days wasn't part of my personal fiscal budgeting for the month. damn!

I have bosses and they want to know what is up. Even if it is like one of those windows progress bars where the estimate is always jumping all over the place
