Will the new road ever be as popular as the last

I made a large amount of money selling on the original Silk Road. I was put way ahead of anything I could have ever imagined. I made the stupid mistake of keeping all money including profits in my account. Reason being I planned to keep an extremly low profile with a 9-5 until the day I reached my goal and got out.
I bought all of my products and supplys with bitcoins so I had no need to take out any more then a thousand a month. My stupid mistake my loss.
As they say, easy come, easy go.
The thing is, I don't deal IRL. I haven't in years. I found the road right towards the beginning, as Iv always enjoyed a nice bowl and where I live theres nothing, but dirt.
I made deal with vendors on here, saved my paychecks, bought some bulk, then resold it in smaller quantities for more so on and so forth until I had accrued enough to buy some real bulk. I was able to start selling bulk myself at great prices and I blew up. All that work is now gone. Gotta roll with the punches I suppose

What do you guys think? Will this new road gain enough popularity where a vendor could support himself off solely online dealing. Or has the downfall of the road created a loss of trust so great that this new road will never be able to go to such a level?

same here i plan on makeing alot of money on the new road i was in the mints of setting up 2 weeks before the shit hit the fan and i am glad i had not loaded any money on there at the time i wanted to

Honestly, at least for me, it really comes down to escrow security. Seeing as you've had large losses, this would be something a person like you would have at the top of your priority list as well. As long as the new DPR can assure me that even if him and his team are sitting in a cell somewhere, my money is safe, then I think the site could flourish quite well. Loss of trust is huge, and it is not loss in trust of vendors or product, but simply loss in the ability to trust that when I deposit my money in the account to make a purchase the funds won't disappear if the site goes down.

This has been sitting in my mind for awhile now, whether we will get the customers back. I am planning on setting up a vendors account but I am just finding it hard to think that the real para ppl will be able to bring themselves back after such a take down..

Well, as you can all see Dread Pirate Roberts is alive and well.  Dread Pirate Roberts is the captain of Silk Road and will be until the world no longer has a need for it.  The show must go on!

Allow him the proper time he needs to perfect the site before launch, it will blow up as soon as it is released and it needs to be able to handle as much; if not more traffic than the last site had when it was seized.  You just can't rush perfection.

From the ashes we will rise, more glorious than ever!
