In the IRC we have noticed that everyone's alias for posting in the discussions on the main site have been reset to your sr names. This is a notice so that everyone who wanted to have an alias can change their alias back. I am not sure of the reasoning for this reset but it is not welcomed as it DE-anonymizes our alias names. So if you see this, know that your new "alias" is now reverted back to your SR name and that you should change it.

Also, for those who do not know about aliases you can change the name that shows up in the discussion threads on the main site in your account settings. This however does not change the name that shows up in messages.

Sure enough, it has been reset. I recognize some of the names listed (people with same names as forum names) that I didn't yesterday. Good thing I didn't use the feature yet.
Wow, that could be bad for some people considering some of the things they posted. What's worse is that vendors probably already saw and copied the discussions with real SR usernames revealed.

While this issue isn't the end of the world, it does not exactly instill confidence.

Came here to post the same thing. I noticed it fairly quickly and changed my alias.. but still, a bit odd.
Also another bug - It says (Vendor) undear neath my name on the discussions page.
Also - IRC?! Sr has an IRC channel?
