this sucks. :( what is the total elapsed time since he has responded?

70$ is not a ton of money, even in contrast with the base pricing structure of his goods.

i still have doubts he ran off, but you are entitled to a response.

moneypak is so risky man....i had a friend get his cunt ripped for $500...guy disappeared.

we wanted to track him down and dismember him. i feel your pain, please keep us updated.

8 hours or so... 70 is not a lot of money... But like all of us this site isn't about money at all I feel.. I look at SR as the true expression of the freedom that everyone wants... FREEDOM OF CHOICE... Choice is the number one freedom that everyone wants... For some of the people on this site that scam that just means there not able to Injoy freedom and must want to move to China... Not saying thing about China in a bad way... Just that some people need to respect movement in this direction.. not trying to stop these freedoms by scamming the people that are trying to up hold it... Thanks just my thoughts

Update

I've had some delays with orders placed late last night. The card I was using to load Moneypak was frozen for some reason, I'm fighting this with Greendot. The last two pending orders are going out in the next hour. Thanks everyone for your patience.

I'm so glad to see this update.

I had a 250$ moneypak in his hands, and I was thinking the same thing had happened. I'm 18 and 250$ to me is like the end of the world. I have been freaking out for like 8 hours. So SO SO SO SO glad to see this :)

Sent my $350, 9 hours ago.  Haven't heard a response since Digital Express confirmed the transaction via pm.  Sent three pms, 2 have been read but he hasn't responded.  I wouldn't be worried If I got some sort of response.

The Moneypak has been emptied, so I hope to get my funds soon before the items I was trying to get are not listed.

Same here. 250+ to DE and no word for two days. I was completely strung along by promises of "just waiting for the wallet" or "greendot freezing funds" or my favorite is "i'll refund you out of my own pocket."

I truly hope he comes through and we're all wrong.

While this is certainly suspect, I want to point out that greendot / moneypak issues are nothing new. Most sellers I've heard of who went into this business ran into an issue as volume ramped up, so it's entirely possible that this disruption isn't anything malicious on the part of Digital Express - though obviously more communication would be good.

NOBODY ORDER FROM DIGITAL EXPRESS

LOOK EVERYBODY HERE IS WHAT IS GOING ON. HE HAS 82 TRANSACTIONS AND HAS  only been a member for 15 days. what has happened is he made other accounts and purchased the btc thing and left himself feedback until he got enough trust and
maybe it was just the fact that we have sent him so much $ at one time.

a sellers account cost 150$

I sent him 250$
somebody sent him 75$
another 650$
antoher 350$

think about it. he probably had more and just ran off with all the cash after getting the money.

fuck digital express. I'd beat your little bitch ass to the fucking curb if i knew who you were. fucking cunt.

NOBODY BUY/ SUPPORT this motherfucker.

My first transaction was 100$. which i got the btc. then it was kinda slow and he offered for the next transaction to be free and he offered this to more than me. and what happened was we decided hmmm well I'm gonna upload a lot of money at once to skip all the fees and what happened was TOO MANY PEOPLE SENT HIM LARGE SUMS OF MONEY AT ONE TIME. causing him to just fucking leave.

I'm brand new to sr and have never even placed an order. thanks for allowing me to see something as amazing as just another site full of shit headed theives. people can call you a scammer. but you are a thief.

fuck you.

I've made contact with Digital Express tonight and YES, he is a SCAMMER.

After days of unanswered PM's, I sent him a fake exchange inquiry under a different username, and what do you know...he answers quickly and wanting the moneypak number.

Sorry everybody, I think we did get jacked. His listing needs to come off fast. Can you help Nomad?

Im fucking pissed this guy ripped me off im sry but im loading the pm's this is bullshit he wont even give me the courtesy of a pm saying he fucking ripped me off.. 5 days now and nothing... NOTHING

To be honest, a card I use to load these moneypaks was frozen by Greendot. I'm out $700 bucks. I have a miner that's going to spot me the coins until I can resolve this bullshit with Greendot. If I don't have them out to you by morning, I'll send you a Moneypak number back with your funds. I'm really sorry for the delay. If you ever decided to order again, I'll do it at no cost. I'll also round up bitcoins on this order to an even number.

Got me for 320

Replied very quickly when I was requesting the > 300 slot, even sent multiple impatient messages complaining about only having so many and me not replying fast enough.

Place the order and send the GD #, no response for a day.

Next day claims the card had 0 balance.

Check GD history for moneypak and see transaction to a ready financial card at the time I placed the order.

Has ignored all PMs since.

On the off chance that this isn't a scam the lack of communication should be enough to convince anyone not to use this person's services.

Ive made a complaint with greendot/moneypak over the phone.  Basically, he took your moneypak and instantly transferred into a pre-paid card.

Overall, Im not sure how much good it'll do. It's basically your word against another person. The best thing that helps you is if you have your receipt. You'll have to give up a lot of personal information including SSN and birthday. And the hardest part is having to come up with a credible cover story about why you gave someone your moneypak number and now want it back.

I specifically told them that I bought something online from a Digital Express company and they never delivered. I think the more people complain and it gets tagged with the pre-paid card he deposited to, they're more likely to believe us and you could get your money back. Im in the "investigation process", so I'll report back.

It breaks my heart to hear all of your stories about being ripped off.  I never expected Silk Road to become an exchange site because there are so many other sites doing just that, and there is no real security advantage to buying bitcoins from Silk Road itself.  In fact, it is less secure.  If you buy from an exchanger and have them send your coins to your Silk Road account address, they have no clue where they went, but an exchanger from here knows exactly what you are doing with those coins.  I would encourage everyone trying to get bitcoins to use 3rd party sites.  If you do need to use a money changer here for whatever reason, use the escrow.

I use exchangebitcoins.com, the guys name is David. He did an interview at the Bitcoin Conference a few weeks ago. You go to one of his designated banks, make a deposit, take a picture of the receipt, email it to him, in less than an hour, you have notification of funds. You can then log into the website and buy bitcoins at whatever rate.

i got scammed for moneypaks on Bitcointalk.org twice, so I feel the pain.

Stick with the known vendors, ExchB, MtGox, TH, etc.

This guy got me too.  Fortunately it was only $60, but still.

Same M.O., plenty of communication at first and then I never heard from him again after he got my moneypak number.

I blame myself somewhat for not researching him deeper, I just saw the positive comments and thought he was legit.  If I had gone to the first page I may have been a little more suspicious with the short time on here but all comments were positive so I bit.  Lesson learned.

Unfortunately, scumbags like this will just make it even harder on new sellers.

It takes a special kind of sociopath to steal from this particular community.

Man this thread and another one about DE really helped me dodge a bullet. Thanks for the heads up you guys. I had a good experience with BTC Buddy, he'll help you out. His fees are higher than DE's, but he's legit of course. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
