Title: Problem with bitcoins: can bitcoins be lost?
Post by: avatar123 on June 30, 2011, 04:30 pm
Yesterday I made a transaction from a bitcoin website to my account in SR. The problem is that the website says they confirmed the transaction and sent the bitcoins to my account, but in SR it stayed unconfirmed. Later, the unconfirmed ammount disappeared, and I didint recieved the ammount. I sent a msg to silk road, but he didint anwsered me yet. Can that ammount be lost somehow? Or is that impossible?

Same exact thing happened to me; I sent 2.00 to SR in the allotted time period, but it didn't confirm until after the 6 hour time period had closed.  The "unconfirmed" funds in my SR account disappeared, but later, the transaction was confirmed by several dozen sources.

I was never credited with my BTC, and it's been over 24H now.  I sent a message to SR and I haven't gotten a response either, but the account hasn't read the message, so I'm chalking it up to them just not being logged in for a while.  Needless to say, I'd like for this to be resolved.  :/

occasionally a deposit won't come through.  We've had the most trouble with deposits coming from Virwox.  Deposits can take up to two hours to process.  If it takes longer than six hours, then something is wrong and you should contact us on the main site with the bitcoin address you sent your coins to.
