Title: Backup Wallet
Post by: happyonlife on June 18, 2011, 04:02 pm
Would it be possible to add a field to our accounts in SR for a backup wallet?

That way if the site goes down for awhile or permanently, you can release the bitcoins to your user's backup bitcoin wallets?  This could make people a little less nervous about holding too many bitcoins on SR.

My way of securing my coins is SR --> MyBitcoin --> offline, crypt with 7z, copy in dropbox, secure delete uncrypted wallet. Sounds paranoid. But works. :)

dude, dont use 7z to encrypt stuff. Use aescrypt or somesuch if you dont want to deal with containers.
