Dear all, I have received the following from the author of the above post:
It's come to my attention that an article I published earlier today might
have offended some of the Silk Road community, not least those involved in
the launch of the Silk Road 2.0.
The piece was in no way meant to be malicious or derogatory to SR 2.0's
userbase, or otherwise slighting toward the decision of SR 2.0's moderators
to delay the launch of that site so as to be sure its security is airtight.
If anything, we're of the opinion the article comes off as a brief defense
of that choice.
That said, I understand there's particular issue around the word
"fiending". The idea there was to show how the community, in the wake of
the SR 1.0, are eagerly awaiting a new, reliable alternative--or in my
words, "for a return to something like normalcy." It was perhaps a poor
choice of wording in the end, and for that I apologize for any harm done.
We've gone ahead and removed that word from the piece.
Once again, my apologies to anyone who might have been offended by the
article.
Respectfully,
Brian A. Anderson
I like that he apologized, but I would have asked he remove the whole bloody thing. Good on him for one word redacted, but the rest is still nothing but mouth vomit.
Oz - You are always welcome. Love ya, punkin.
