They have access to change your password as well as a myriad of other things, but I don't see them being able to see who invited who.

Actually, as Sarge stated, mods do not have access to see who invited who. The only ones that can are you and DPR. I just don't see the reason for the user to see it.

Mainly if we don't want the invitee to know the username of the inviter. It serves no purpose except to provide a possible security hole.

You don't. Just use encryption to hide who/where you are and you should be safe. Unless every vendor on the road now is, in reality, a LEO, you are your own worst enemy.

Since that is unlikely, those that believe it is a honeypot might want to adjust their foil hats.

Invites only work for 1 person. then they are invalid.

I'm going to verify with DPR as we haven't really talked about this. But I don't really think these boards are suppose to be "private". Its just makes it harder for spammers and coachello to make 100 shill accounts. I'm sure they will make their way onto the forums. Then we delete them, then they have to spend another day trying to find another invite..

We still want a thriving community to chat with.
