You can encrypt a volume on the SD card and still be able to use it in your camera. You cant FDE the thing though.
All's I need is for the video or photo's I capture to be encrypted so if it should become compramised in some way it'll look like raw data,

Well is this "camera" your phone?

That would require embedded JavaScript that would not run without a user notification. I suppose the reader you use plays a factor.

Depends on the vendor. Some fluctuate based on BTC value, others (at least on the old road) had static prices. When you place an order, it will say if it is hedged vs unhedged.

May I ask, what is the appeal of an online wallet?

Alas, I appear to have already done that recently.

It's still harder than hell to install it. You gotta make sure you get all the drivers...gotta make sure your boot order is right, even then...the fucker does not like to take. I would probably recommend putting it on a usb and installing. I had a bitch of a time booting from disc

You have just described a Windows operating system. Brilliant.

First off, you must change the boot order in your BIOS settings.  Look up how to access your BIOS from initial boot, then change the order to whatever drive you will be booting tails from(I'm assuming that this is what you're having trouble with).  Once the boot order is changed, and if you're using tails on a USB, then plug the USB into computer and restart it.  Once restarted, go to advanced startup options(Search bios, or advanced startup in the Win 8 search bar).  When in advanced startup menu, select restart/boot from USB(it will say other as  well e.g HD, or CD).   From there you need to select to boot from the Hard Drive. Once you select that, it will reboot your computer and tails should load.  Hope this helps, and that I didn't miss anything.  Booting tails from Win 8 is a ridiculous first procedure.  Message me if you have any problems.

Best of luck.

That was actually a pretty impressive write-up. Only thing is if secure boot is enabled, advanced startup options within Win8 still wont allow for a boot to Tails.

Fluff - What PII? The model number of the computer? Hardly identifiable.

Thanks Doc.  There may be a solution to the secure boot issue.  And, not surprisingly it is as simple as Microsoft's god awful Win 8.1 update.  In the update, there was a bug with older model computers(Late Win 7 devices mostly).  It has inccorrectly enabled the SecureBoot.  Thus, making it disabled until they release a bug fix update, which probably will be soon.  But, the OP should check into that. OP, update your OS to 8.1 by going to the Store, or simply the Miscosoft website.  If after it updates(which btw is a very quick update, can even do it directly from the store), it doesn't say SecureBoot is not "Enabled Correctly" along with some "Build ****" at the bottom right of the screen in white text, then we will have to try other options. But if it does, give it a shot.  It will most likely fix your troubles.

-T

If it states a Build number, Windows isn't activated. I would be interested to see if DOSEO made any progress on this.

True.  I am wondering if he has Win 8 or 8.1 though, because the SecureBoot is a known bug/issue with the 8.1 update.  I checked the site for fixes or explanation, and it seems they haven't figured it out yet.

-T

That was mainly a problem following RTM. GA and any subsequent builds released have not had that bug reported.

Qthello - Thank you for your input. It is most valuable.

DPR is aware of the captcha problem.

What is the community's opinion on the Message time? Do you like it having an exact date/time, or do you prefer the old "1 hour ago", "5 days ago"

The exact time/date is less convenient but tells you exactly when it was sent.. I think I prefer the latter..

Exact date/time is more convenient when there are some issues with ordering or shipping. However, it would also require to set your time zone or it would be displayed in UTC (correct me if I'm wrong). I would imagine many users don't like setting their time zone, as it diminishes anonymity. So the old system might still be the better choice.

Thanks for bringing this up Sarge

It would just be displayed UTC and then you do the math.

Obviously if you don't get an immediate answer, you need make a whole new topic about it. You said yourself they are busy. Chill...

So what you are saying is that I wont get a new podcast? If you're expecting morning announcements through your RSS feed, you are in the wrong place.

Anyone feel like spotting me .013 BTC to be paid back by this weekend? My LBC transfer took longer than anticipated, and with the market fluctuation overnight I was short just a little of what I need. Don't want to do another bank deposit for 4 bucks in coins if I don't have to. Planning another BTC purchase this weekend, and will pay back this loan off that.

If nobody can swing it, I understand. This is the first time I've ever asked for spare change :)

I can cover ya, mate.

Thanks pal. Sending you a PM now.

Coins on their way. Enjoy, mate.

VIVA LA FAVICON AND SYNERGY !!!!  :)

I knew your emergency board meetings are most productive ..
Thank you all for all the hard work you put in into this SR project.

It is all about priorities, today is FAVICON day ;)

You are doing the lord's work, Syn. Thankfully the R&D dept can get back to making the other dreams come true in various feature requests threads. Personally, I have my fingers crossed for the dancing baby gif on the landing page. Make it happen.
