Customer Support / Re: Is the messaging system fully functional?

They are getting through, the bug currently being witnessed is in regards to those new messages not being numbered on the banner. So while the buyer may have them in their inbox, the ticker will still display 0. I have a non-buyer account on the market under my same name as the forum if you wanted to test this.

you sense an attutude? you high? i am. no attitude though lol

i know what it means, you're not talking to a newbie. and I am not talking just SR or this market. read what I wrote again. the system of buying coins with multiple market rates plus the vitality of price fluctuation cost the buyer much more money than before. And the icing on the cake would be an unfair market rate.
Good night...mate

PS I owe you one bad karma..when i get to that point..but thanks! haha ;D

Joker, i think your going to get slightly more than 1 bad karma with your replies in this thread!

+1 for making sensible contributions

I may direct you to the knowledge base where a lot of things are laid out : http://silkroad5v7dywlc.onion/index.php?action=kb;area=article;cont=14

Hahahahahahaha 100 100 10  1 1/2 years rooming the road. thanks for the info though.

The BTC rate is a weighted average. Hedging will be enabled so the fluctuations don't have as much of a buyer impact.

Weighed average of what market? bitstamp? can't be mtgox with those rates. no impact on the buyer? where do you get coins at current market cost without fee's?

Listen, mate. I am happy to point you in the right direction, but I would advise against that sort of attitude towards those trying to help.

Hedging is meant to reduce the impact on both buyers and vendors. Since the markets are rather unstable and the road has only been open for a couple days to orders, features are still being rolled out following beta testing. Where you buy your coins is your concern. I don't know of any that have no fees since they are a business and as such, require an income to operate.

I checked out the new site. has a very counterfeit look to it.
Whats up with all the bitcoin receiving addresses?
you can't search vendors by country?
you can't add vender to favorites?
why doesn't the vender pages have their listings omn the right hand side and the bottom like the old site?
Is the new site basing rates off mtgox, bitstamp or a median of the 2?
Where are all my favorite guys? :( :o

This isn't the original site. Changes have been made. As for virtually all of your other questions, you need to use the search functionality or simply read through some of the popular topics on each forum since they have all been addressed.

You will receive a response if your skills are something that are needed at this point. Don't expect to receive a response.

Funny considering his most recent quote:

"Hvo der vil honning slikke, må ikke ræddes for bier"

Means "He who will lick the honey must not be afraid of bees" in Danish.

The bug has to do with new messages not showing up in the banner. The vendor likely received the message but it still says 0 so they don't know to look.

As much as I hate caps lock, I like this idea. It would stop duplicate posts and create a catch all for questions/input on said feature requests.

You added it to your cart, but did you buy it? Hedging is not yet available but wouldn't matter just for items in your cart...

It depends what the size of the original image was. It will get scaled down to fit the preview.

Off Topic / Re: Official Spare Coins Thread

This thread should officially be labeled "OFFICIAL BTC CHARITY THREAD" or "Roadside Beggars." I'd love to join the club of those who have gotten anything back lol. I've given at least three or four times, received once, and received BACK a "loan" never. That's why they're not really loans.

A guy contacted me on localbitcoins to buy some bitcoins locally, turns out he was a Vice President for a non-profit involving the adoption of children here in my home state. I waived the transaction fees and slid him $20 extra in coin as a "donation." Come on ya'll. Let's get some good karma going!!!! I'm talkin to you telemetree!!!!  I could really use a phone that's turned on right about now. ha. If you got 21 BTC to spend on MDA then you got .37 btc to pay a brother back (minus the gains and promised 1 BTC of course.) The day of the crash the btc was worth about 129 (that's what I bought at, so that .37 is about fifty bucks). You tryna tell me you can't shake that loose? dang. come on now.
?

I ramble sometimes too...
