Despite the many theories circulating around this forum, other markets, and clearnet sites, the security of Silk Road 2.0 has not been comprised. Many believe that the modification of DPR's PGP key ties into this, however that is not the case. After being in contact with DPR, I ask that on this point that you trust in my word as I promised that I wouldn't divulge the reason behind it yet.
The arrests today were the continued fallout of the Silk Road 1.0 seizure. Three moderators that were heavily involved in the previous operation were taken into custody. This was done via the data retrieved following Ross' arrest. Some are out on bail but for obvious reasons, they are unable to provide status updates for you all. DPR is currently weighing his options on how to proceed going forward, but rest assured that he is ensuring the safety of all those involved.
I ask that you all retain your faith in the Silk Road, your captain and above all, this community. It is not misplaced in any regard. Those captured by law enforcement yesterday helped spawn the freedom you all now enjoy in the form of a truly open marketplace. DPR continues to hold these values up and will make an official announcement soon. As I stated before, DPR and team are hard at work ensuring the continued existence of the Silk Road.
We are still here...
Cheers,
