I actually have a question about this. Is VirtualBox the only application capable of hosting a whonix workstation? Can the OVA file be imported into Hyper-V or VMware?

No the forums are not being DDoSd. You likely upset one of the mods by trolling because your account is on a certain list. I will remove you from that list for now as I don't know the background here. Log off and log back in to see the changes.
