As Defcon stated, he is requiring a second downtime window. People are definitely working on the market. You guys cannot seem to grasp that we had a good deal of our staff arrested less than three weeks ago. Handling the massive influx of new users while getting support access squared away is not an easy task.

I regret speaking to him -- I had no idea that he was going to write a bullshit article like he did. But it is what it is. Fucking media.
What really pisses me off is that he's a drug user himself, buying MDMA and whatnot, and then writing some shit article about how SR users and whoever else are just criminals who are hoping they don't get caught.
Edit: I'd like to add that this douche doesn't even have legitimate employment. He's a freelance dude who just pitched some popular shill to Newsweek and they bought it. Pretty sad.

Man see this is why I want to go into journalism. I feel like I can write better pieces and not be a hack. I just don't know where to start. I got told before that since I don't have a journalism degree I'm not "trained to write in a way that wasn't going to get people sued." But then I see shit like this and think "Why can't I just write stuff anyways?"
We have some great journalists on here. DeepDotWeb started after one of their friends got arrested for doing transactions on Silk Road 1.0. OzFreelancer has been around awhile, as has Ed from SL. You may just ask one of hem for advice.
