Hi i was just wondering what kind of vaccum machines you guys you for packing and shipping.

The Foodsaver models with the built in rolls (both upright and flat) seem to have the best reviews for the lower end. Most of the bad reviews on them seem to be from people who don't what they're doing.

Yeah you can pick up a cheap one pretty much everywhere. Just cut and seal.

Foodsaver 2040,  but I've found an older worn out one works way better than a brand new one i picked up.

It seems that this new one won't completely vacuum - and it just ends up prematurely sealing.  It has a mind of it's own.  So you get this half assed marginally vacuumed bag that you just end up cutting off cause it looks like shit.

But my old one, you press vacuum and seal - and it'll sit there and vacuum forever until you manually press seal.  I actually like my "broken" one better.  Just need to keep poised on the seal button to avoid destroying product too much.
