Title: There was a guy who taught hacking....
Post by: tigerbalm101 on July 02, 2011, 05:25 pm
About 2-4 weeks ago, I saw his ad where he offered to teach hacking for about $100.

Didn't have any bitcoins then so couldn't sign up.

Anybody remember him or know how I can get in touch with him?
Please have him contact me.

If any other hackers out there that offer to teach, please contact me as well.
thanks

Indeed. I could easily point you to the tools one needs to being that path but realize there is no simple guide.

My advice, start with networking. Look into Cisco books, particularly 'Network Routing Basics'. This will give you an awesome base. Next your going to need to learn to code, and to script. Start with python, look up 'Learn Python the Hard Way'. Now learn HTML\CSS and then PHP\MySQL\JavaScript. Now is the time to start looking into a few different topics, namely SQL Injection, MetaSploit, and BackTrack. These are all super duper simple but will give you the resources to learn more. Start looking into Linux and Perl. And remember the more you read the better you are going to be; so hit up your favorite torrent site (i recommend kat.ph) and start grabbing ebooks.

This is probably why you don't see his post anymore.

"Hacking" is a pretty broad term.

I totally agree with you. Here's the problem for most lay folks:
all of those programming languages teach you wayyyyy more stuff than I want to learn.
For example, here is a bad analogy but, if I were going to Thailand on a sex tour, I ONLY want to learn words that refer to body parts and sexual positions, such as a book like "Making out in Thai".
I don't need nor want to learn the ENTIRE Thai language, just the words that matter.

So while I agree everything you said in principle, it simply just takes too long for the lay person to learn all of those programming languages before they can start "hacking"

In other words, I wish someone would simply create a class catered JUST for hacking. That way, learning the various programming languages is much more easier and focused.
I know basic networking cuz I'm a Cisco guy by trade.
The problem is....as the saying goes in my industry:
"Programming folks can easily learn networking but networking folks can't learn programming."

Sadly, I admit my faults and I fall into the latter category. That's why I'm looking for a class catered to folks learning hacking that doesn't waste too much time with the syntax and parameters of each language.

Hope you understand my dilemma.  :)

You must remember, there are no hacking commands. When I say learn a language, it's because to exploit a system you have to shape tools from basic commands to do so. But if all your looking for is how to run a few scripts with out learning any code (look up script kiddie), then I would recommend looking up SQL Injections, XSS, nmap, port scanners, and start visiting hacking forums. Either way good luck on your journey, if you need anymore help just post.

Peace,

I work in IT (Cisco networks and security) and trying to acquire the skills to hack commercial systems would take a great deal of time. I can tell you that wireless networks are easy pickings, and relatively easy to learn how to hack. That is where you want to begin I think, especially if you are in a large city as there will be networks everywhere to choose from. WEP-key based Access Points can be compromised in a short time, then take over access to the AP and use that as a second Internet connection for backup comms, downloading, etc. From there you can do what you want...

Even WPA-based systems can be hacked, if you send me a traffic capture I can get you a preshared key for a WPA-based Access Point if you want. I can send instructions on how to capture that traffic, we can work out some kind of fee for the effort/time if you like...
