Title: Cookie Crumbs
Post by: BitShuffle on June 30, 2011, 11:18 pm
I went to my "account" page on SR, and I saw something I don't much like...

It showed my last 3 transactions, with all amounts in BitCoin, including my sending BitCoin key.

Scratch that shit from your memory likes it a festering, puss-filled open wound, SR.

Yup, do some reading into how BC works. My recommendation:

I was just rethinking this a little. Silk Road has destination addresses linked to individual users, weather they visible or just in his own database, is a security risk. It also reduces the usefulness of the tumbler. Should one of Silk Road's data bases be compromised, or an account hacked by LE, tracing bitcoin to users and to real life accounts would get a lot easier.

I suppose, it also destroys to usability of just generating a new address as your old is still linked to you.
Huh, hadn't thought of that.
