Technical support / PINS PINS PINS - The Run Down
« on: May 07, 2012, 11:52 am »
Because of the sheer number of post we are getting on PINS I'm going to give the forum a run down. (Then a rub down, cause the forum seems tense)
Basically if you forgot, didn't set it when registering, ate the paper you wrote it on, just took 1/2 G of MDMA, got struck with amnesia, or just messed it up guessing a few too many times, the response will be the same thing:
"Sorry you have to wait 7 days from having the PIN RESET message" at which point you reply to the message (7 days have passed mind you) and the holly jolly customer support rep will reset your pin, at which point you log out and back in to be asked to set a new PIN.
Doesn't matter if you are a vendor, a buyer, or a minotaur. Same rules.
Why? This is too keep phishers from just resetting your info. By giving 7 days, there are 7 days in which you folks can be like "Hey I can't get in my account, what gives?" Thereby allowing us to sort out who owns the account.
We do it cause we love. Quit sending so much hate to the customer support, or the holly jolly rep will start a naughty and nice list like santa No, not really, but it would make them allot happier.
Thanks folks,
Digi
