It has now been over 24 hours since we last heard from our Captain. He is most certainly in grave danger.
As posted by Cirrus: Do not trust DPR2's PGP keys. Do not trust any communication claiming to be from DPR2.
As his second in command, I have very clear instructions as to what to do in this worst case scenario.
He appointed a successor before he began. You know who you are, and you know what to do. Consider this the signal.
I cannot elaborate on the specifics, but the marketplace is safe and in my hands until the Captain returns or his successor appears.
Given these shocking events, I am delaying Christmas Break for another 12 hours so that you may withdraw your coins if you so desire.
Make no mistake - Silk Road is not dead, the marketplace is not compromised, and it will return after the break regardless of how this plays out.

Right now it is still chaotic at best so I am not sure yet how to best respond long term. As a short term bit of caution both Libertas and Inigo are to be treated as hostile and all communications you receive from them must be forwarded to me immediately.
The weighting of Inigo being busted is that in my opinion many things do not yet add up but I believe the reports may be correct. I cannot reveal much, but here are the key facts:
1. DPR places operational security above all else, including posting updates to this forum. Given his role he has every right to play it very safe.
2. The marketplace has not been compromised. Deep analysis has occurred over the past 24 hours, there are no red flags.
3. Christmas break will still happen. Auto-finalize will be disabled throughout, and is being redesigned during the break. We had no idea how timely this planned vacation would be, but this is a fit time to take a step back and re-evaluate all security practices.

If LE had his old key, they would just continue using it.
I can confirm that DPR is indeed the same DPR, and has been verified using several alternate methods which staff keeps private for obvious reasons.

If you check the txid on blockchain you will notice that your account shows one confirmation on the transaction, please be patient - the system is under extreme load. Three confirmations are required before your balance updates.
