Title: USPS deliver during a snow storm?
Post by: colorblack on March 06, 2013, 05:38 am
I've actually never thought about this before. What happens during a snow storm? (Such as the one approaching the East Coast right now). Will USPS still be delivering mail (especially Express)? Or do they deliver it the next day? Or do the mailmen take each neighborhood on a case by case basis depending on how bad that street is?

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."

Except for that big snowstorm a few weeks ago. They suspended mail delivery for a bit in parts of the Northeast. But for the most part, the USPS does what it can to deliver things as timely as possible while fighting the elements, but delays are possible (and the length of the delay can be variable). If they do in fact decide to not deliver, they will post about it on their website like they did last time.
